Guestbook comments from the owner

My husband and I both enjoyed our 12 day stay very much. The villa was extremely clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. The location was beautiful, but a bit remote. Wonderful walking in the area. Deer and pheasants outside in the olive grove. Large deck overlooking ravine was perfect for an antipasto and wine happy hour. Late day sunshine was beautiful on the fields and vineyards. Hosts very attentive.

The Living/Dining Room, spacious and elegant, in Alberese stone and Tuscan cotto, is provided with a big country-style fireplace between two comfortable armchairs and one nice little sofa. The ancient cattle manger, now turned into a cupboard, and the solid walnut table characterise the dining area, always full of light thanks to the window and the two glass doors opening onto the garden. The Kitchen, in solid cherry wood and pink marble, is provided with cooking top, oven, dishwasher and double sink. A bright window overlooks the garden and the surrounding woods. The well-kept Garden surrounding the Villa is rich in fresh shady places provided by tall, slender pine-trees. Strolling among the ancient olives, you will enjoy the natural fragrance of lavender, sage, rosemary and mint bushes. The wide Terrace in Tuscan cotto, overlooking the green tract of the surrounding woods, will be the ideal setting for your candle-lit summer dinners. The Lawn of Villa is the perfect place to relax.

What A Fabulous Villa For A Vacation

  • 5 of 5

"This villa is just "Perfect" for a vacation"

To say this upfront... I would recommend this property to anyone ... friend or relative, that would love a perfect getaway.

Lilliana, Enzo and their sons were just wonderful to speak with and would do anything to please.

The Villa is outside a typical Italian town were you can meander, buy your household food, eat with the locals or go out for a typical Italian dinner.

The Villa is on a wonderful secluded road ( with a gate) , on a hill overlooking an enormous grove . You can hear some sounds of civilization, but see no one . You can relax on the enormous patio which surrounds the villa on 3 sides and look out for miles and miles.

The inside of the villa is a home-away-from- home. It is warm, cozy and has everything you would need at your fingertips.

From this location you can get in your car and go visit all the wonderful historic places within an hour or so- depending on how long you spend gazing at the countryside along the way, and then return home to sit on the veranda with a glass of wind and watch the sunset.

When you leave here ... and you really are not going to want to, you will feel that you have just left PARADISE !

A Wonderful Tuscan Villa

  • 5 of 5

We rented both apartments for five nights in June. The setting is private, serene and convenient. The villa is immaculately furnished, stylish and very well maintained. During our stay the outside temperatures were mid 90s F but within the thick stone villa walls it was comfortable. Two nights we prepared our own meals and sat at the large table looking out at the very Tuscan countryside . . . it was perfect. We would certainly highly recommend this property.

Our highlight of our Italy trip was this castle villa

  • 5 of 5

This place will always have a special place in our hearts. When we arrived and the host Enzo greeted us. What a nice man. He was so kind and helpful. My kids were so excited to be able to run around. We had such lovely meals outside overlooking the rolling hills and private countryside views. What a treat it was to stay here. Absolutely fabulous. Thank you Enzo and family for giving us the privilege to stay in your home.

Peaceful retreat in the Tuscan hills

  • 5 of 5

The family has done an excellent job restoring this beautiful property. While in the deep countryside, it's just a couple of minutes to a small village with a market and a few restaurants, but it's so easy to access other historically interesting villages, get into Siena, or just relax on the property. The bedrooms are nicely appointed, the bathroom well done, and the kitchen fully equipped including a few actual serious wine glasses to enjoy your local Chianti, and the local Chianti from some well-known producers is excellent. We stayed in the downstairs part of the house but also viewed the upstairs which is beautiful. A great place to come with 10 friends for a restorative time in a special place.

Heavenly, beautiful, peacefull

  • 5 of 5

The villa is more than I dreamed it would be. Comfortable, fully applianced kitchen, beautiful scenery and so close to Siena - 10 minutes Italian driver; 20 min. American driver! We were there for 3 Septembers - 2014/15/16 that's how much we liked it.

the host family were exceptionally kind and generous. Anyone who spends time there will be the better for it.

We loved every minute.
