The Coach House is in Newland, a village developed around the magnificent parish church dating from 1216 and affectionately known as the "Cathedral of the Forest".

The Ostrich Inn is nearby and interesting towns a short distance away include Monmouth, Ross-on-Wye and Chepstow.

Sections of Offas Dyke, Gloucestershire Way and Wye Valley footpaths are all great opportunities for walking. The New Verderers Trail along with the the more gentle Family Cycle Trail offer excellent cycling opportunities. Or for a more laid back approach, The Coach House offers comfortable and relaxing accommodation.

Attractions nearby include:

Symonds Yat with it's hand pulled ferries, King Arthurs cave and the scenic viewpoint of Yat Rock where you can if you are lucky view Peregrine falcons

Puzzle Wood a unlque attraction with 14 acres of ancient woodland, aaze, animals and picnic site. Most recently Puzzlewood has become a popular location for filming including Dr. Who, Merlin, Atlantis, Jack and the Giant Slayer and Star Wars.
