About The Owner

I currently live in Guernsey in the Channel Islands and have spent many family holidays in France and very much enjoy the relaxed lifestyle and slower pace of life, which makes a welcome change to my daily working life!

I finally purchased my property in February last year, and am happy to share this lovely house with like-minded individuals who enjoy the laid back rural French life.

The Owner purchased this farmhouse in 2016

Why The Owner chose Ménéac

The Morbihan has always appealed to me, due to the contrast of lovely countryside, quaint villages and fantastic coastline, added to which the area is full of history and culture and is ideal for cycling and walking. Added to which it is only a short 1 hour 15 minute drive from the port of Saint Malo, or from the airport at Dinard.

The property offered everything I was looking for, full of character, however with all the modern comforts!

What makes this farmhouse unique

Relaxing on the back terrace, listening to the birds and feeling the sense of peace, whilst enjoying a glass of local wine is very special and certainly is an excellent way to re-charge the batteries! Added to which I can escape for a long weekend due to the ease of access and it really is my home away from home!!

Home from Home

  • 5 of 5

After a long and tiring drive made up of accidents and dilemmas we arrived late at the property and all our upsets and troubles went away. The home is lovely, well presented and spacious. It is private, well laid out and as a family with 2 teenagers we felt we all had space to chill. The owner had given plenty of good information on the area, and we felt that a week was not enough to see all that the area has to offer.

The owner was very supportive when being informed of our late arrival and was a very pleasant person to deal with.

It is definitely somewhere to be experienced and we do intend to return.

A beautiful house in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We had the pleasure of staying at this house for a week in late May 2017. The house and grounds are well maintained. The bathrooms look recently renovated. The large eat in kitchen was a pleasure to cook in. Don't get me started as to how much I covet the large oven and range. The pictures are a very fair representation of the rooms and the house is actually a little bigger than it appears. We chose the house for two reasons. First, I wanted to see the cute red refrigerator in person (it did not disappoint). Secondly, the property was no more than one hours drive from everything we wanted to see and do. I have no qualms recommending this house for your first or returning visit to Brittany.

The essence of rural French chic

  • 5 of 5

This property has been superbly decorated and furnished by the owner, with every possible attention to detail with regard to comfort and style. The bath and shower in the main bathroom were superb. I particularly enjoyed eating in the large but cosy kitchen, (it would be lovely also in colder weather when the fire is lit), relaxing in the living room and on the terrace, and my private ensuite sitting room

Excellent and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Stayed for a long weekend with two of my children, very relaxing and had great fun exploring the woods. Enjoyed the local village which has just been modernised at the Sunday antiques sale. Great time at the local lake at Ploermel. The house is lovely - more than just a holiday home and the kids loved the TV....

A wonderful treat!

  • 5 of 5

A wonderfully appointed property, with an understated boutique hotel feel. Lots of room and very quiet. A great location, only an hour from St Malo, and close to Josselin and about 40 minutes from Rocheforte en Terre, both beautiful towns. I will definitely be back!
