During their years of self employment they took very few holidays. However in the latter years they came across Moraira purely by luck and decided quite quickly that this would be their first choice for an early retirement. They love the lush surroundings and the ambience of the area, its ease of access to airports and motorway yet the tranquillity it offers when you arrive.

Great location

An immaculate apartment in a great location . So well fitted out with two nice bedrooms , spacious lounge and lovely modern kitchen and newly fitted bathrooms , everything is so clean and well kept cannot fault it . Just set at the back of the beach and with bars and restaurants on your door step .

Lovely spacious balcony to enjoy people watching from .

Jim and Nadine were great hosts and so friendly and helpful , nothing was to much trouble and met us on arrival to explain parking , facilities etc and beer and milk waiting in the fridge . I would highly recommend this apartment if you want a great location and spotless clean well cared for holiday apartment in a lovely town .

Modern and well planned accomodation.

Stayed over the new year so needed to use the heating, aircon provided heating but even better was the flame effect electric fire which not only warmed up quickly but looked cosy especially at night. The apartment has been recently modernised and made a change from the tired look you get with some properties. Jim and Nadine have done a great job of renovating the property. Very centrally located so everything in walking distance. Planning to go again later this year.

Perfect in every way

Having previously visited Moraira on a few occasions, my new wife and I decided that this is where we would like to Honeymoon. I simply could not have chosen a better apartment....Casanadine was perfect in every way.

Jim met us quite late on in the evening due to flight delays and he kindly showed us all the various operating procedures for the amenity packed 2 bed palace. From the sparkling induction hob, the full English satellite TV, smart TV with more than 300 pre-loaded recent films through to the remote controls for the ceiling fans and air-con units that adorn each room. The place was gleaming and beautifully presented. Tastefully decorated, wonderfully comfy memory foam mattresses on the beds, 2 bathrooms finished to a very high standard and a balcony to catch the early evening sunshine whilst enjoying a G n T prior to stepping out for an evening meal at the many quality restaurants all within a 2 minute walk. On the odd day that we experienced light rain, the balcony was not off limits due to the electric awning that stretches the full width.

Jim and Nadine have covered every base possible, from the separate laundry room down to the cold box and umbrella to take to the beach.....I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough.

The location is a pleasant stroll to the beach and town center. The private parking directly outside the entrance door is yet another added bonus. Market day on Friday provides a pleasant outing certainly as it took about 30 seconds to get there as it is situated in the car park behind the apartment !! ''Must be noisy whilst the traders set up early morning ?'' I hear you ask ....not whatsoever, as the double glazing throughout provides perfect sound-proofing from the bustle outside.....I slept like a baby.

Moraira itself is wonderful and offers a beautifully relaxed atmosphere both throughout the day and evening. Stand out restaurant for us was Bajul serving the most amazing Indonesian food.....the 12 dish 'rice-table' both meat and vegetarian was so good, we had to visit a second time. The traditional English chippy below the apartment was great for an easy take-away to enjoy on the balcony one evening and the Premium Plus restaurant a few doors down serves high quality food at unbelievable prices.

All in all a faultless 10 days.

Will we be back ?.........You betcha :-)

Thanks so much to Jim and Nadine for making this a wonderful Honeymoon....we will be in touch about doing it all again.

Perfect in every way

Jim & Nadine made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble, from the welcome pack, the well equipped apartment and help when we needed it they were the perfect owners. We know Moraira very well, having been coming for over 30 years, and we've stayed in many villas and apartments and this one is up there as one of the best. I can not recommend their apartment enough. Perfectly located, lovely view from the balcony and the live music that wafts from Saxos bar in the early evening is so fabulous! The area is beautiful, Moraira beach is so clean and the many shops and restaurants give you plenty to look at and plenty of choice in the evening. You will not be disappointed if you stay at Casanadine! Thank you so much Jim & Nadine

Fabulous appartment

Jim and Nadine welcomed us to their stunning appartment. It was very well equipped with everything you need for a self catering break. Everything was spotlessly clean and they were always on hand if you needed any information. It was ideally situated being a few minute walk to the beaches and restaurants. Would definately recommend this appartment.

Moraira (Valencian pronunciation: [moˈɾajɾa]) is a small, upmarket Spanish coastal town, part of Teulada (also known as Teulada-Moraira) municipality, in the Marina Alta comarca, 80 km north of Alicante and 100 km south of Valencia. It is a tourist resort on the Costa Blanca strip, with 8 km of coastline backed by mountains and vineyards.

The permanent population of Moraira in the northern Costa Blanca, Spain is around 10,000, although this rises to 36,000 in summer. There is a high proportion of expatriates living here permanently, and the area is very popular with affluent retirees, especially English. The majority of visitors to Moraira are Spanish, English, German, Dutch, and French.[citation needed]

Moraira’s historic roots as a fishing village are still in evidence; its fish market is one of the most popular in the Costa Blanca region and the port has five fishing boats in operation. The Moraira region is also famous for the growing of Muscatel grapes for wine-making.

However, the economy of Moraira is now built around tourism and Spanish property sales that have transformed the coastline over the past 30 years. Strict planning regulations have prevented over development and high rise buildings, making it a highly desirable destination. Little remains of the fishing cottages that once made up the little port that serviced the town of Teulada that stands at the head of the valley. To preserve the heritage of the area, the Teulada council passed laws protecting the abundant pine trees and limited the height of buildings. It has a privately owned marina built in 1985, operated by Club Náutico Moraira. Moraira is also seen as a culinary destination, with many restaurants. Moraira has three sandy beaches popular with families, and many rocky coves and inlets frequented by snorkelers and scuba divers.

Yacht club Moraira The yacht club, “Club Náutico” has 620 embarkation points. Year in and year out it receives the “Blue Flag” of the European Community. It includes an association club which is provided with restaurants and shops. Also in summer they have sailing courses and regattas. The championship of the district for open sea yachts is held at Easter, the regatta “Moraira Santa Eulalia” takes place at the end of September.

Climate in Moraira Moraira boasts a very stable Mediterranean climate with approximately 300 sunny days a year. Surrounded by mountains it keeps away strong winds and also protects the village for heat waves. The summers are hot, the winters mild. The seawater temperature during the summer months is up to 25 degrees. It hardly rains during the months July-August.
