We are offering this 5 star award winning Sherwood lodge for rental on the South Lakeland Leisure Village site. The lodge is a great place to have a family holiday or a peaceful relaxing time, you can also enjoy the site facilities which include an award winning restaurant and bar as well as the pool and gym facilities.
The lodge has only been rented out since May 2016 but has already received very praiseworthy reviews and all our guests have enjoyed their stays. We have the internet installed in the lodge, free to our guests. We will consider guests to bring their dogs but we do require details of pets before we agree to them coming. Previous guests who have brought their pets have found the large decking area to be a great benefit.
This lodge has a double bedroom with en-suite facilities and a second bedroom with two single beds, a separate bathroom is also provided, please note that towels are not provided and you will need to bring your own. There is a well equiped galley style kitchen leading into the dining area and then into the lounge area. From the lounge double patio doors lead out onto the extensive decking area which has outside furniture and a gate which can be closed for security and safety. The lodge is located on the South Lakeland Leisure Village which offers a reception area, a bar with an award winning restaurant all at good prices. The site offers at a fee the leisure facilities which offer a pool, weights area, gymnasium and beauty salon. From the site there is plenty of areas to explore the lake district, Yorkshire Dales, Trough of Bowland as well as the local area around Silverdale and Arnside. The nearby town of Carnforth offers supermarkets and local shops as well as the railway station used in the film Close encounters. A museum about the local area and history can also be found at Carnforth railway station. Morecambe offers beaches and seaside amusements, Lancaster offers a historical experience and shopping and nearby Kendal is a delightful town.
This partner has demonstrated and is committed to fast response times, the best rates, and a great guest experience.
We are Julie and Jim, we are both retired and live part time in another lodge on the site and part time in a place we own in Spain. Our cat Mr Darcy travels with us and is becoming a bit of an international celebrity.

This lodge is ideally located for exploring/touring the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, and the more local area of Silverdale and Arnside. There is Morecambe with beach and promenade only 10 miles away or Blackpool further down the coast. Lancaster is close by for historic buildings including the castle which is well worth a visit. The area is excellent for outdoor activities, walking and cycling can provide hours of enjoyment.
Stayed over Easter school holidays with our 2 daughters. Modern, clean and spacious lodge with everything you might need during your stay. Loved everything about our stay and would love to stay in your lodge again when we return for future holidays.
We stayed at the Sherwood Lodge over the New Year and loved it. Great location within easy reach of all that the Lake District has to offer. The lodge itself is immaculate, with plenty of space to relax indoors and out, with its gated decking area perfect for our dog to roam around - whilst being secure. The site again is spotless, with restaurant and bar. My 7 year old daughter was over the moon having spent much of the mornings in the on site swimming pool. Would highly recommend this lodge and will certainly be looking to stay again ourselves in 2018.
The property was spotless and beautifully presented. We had a lovely relaxing break. The location is perfect for exploring the area. We will be recommending this to friends and family and hope to return soon.

We had a lovely time at the lodge. The owners are lovely and the lodge was really cleaning and specious. We really enjoyed our morning walks around the site it’s so beautiful and peaceful. The restaurant food was lovely and our dog was allowed to dine with us too which was really nice.
We will be making a visit here again once our new arrival makes an appearance.

such an amazing stay, lovely clean lodge, really friendly owners who greeted us on arrival and showed us round will certainly be going back.
The owner (James) was very helpful to us; coming to the train station to pick our family and giving a ride to the car hire station in Lancaster.
The lodge and leisure village is beautiful and near Lake District National Park. I strongly recommend anybody to come and take a rest in this place for at least 3 days.
Again, thanks James. :)
Lovely lodge, modern and very well maintained. Large deck was great for sitting out on an evening. It was well equipped with everything you needed.
The settees were really comfortable for an evening of TV, or relaxing and reading a book.
We had amazing weather, but I wouldn't hesitate to try a break during the autumn or winter.
On this occasion we would have loved to have stayed longer !
