Seascape in Woolacombe, North Devon offers guests a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

This stunning, well-equipped, contemporary house overlooking Woolacombe Bay comfortably sleeps up to ten guests in five bedrooms, three of which benefit from en-suite bathrooms.

A bright and spacious open plan living space boasts huge windows capturing stunning views that stretch down the valley towards Woolacombe Bay and Lundy Island.

The lounge area with large leather sofas and bean bags, a large flatscreen TV with Sky, an X-box and Wifi provides a lovely comfortable area for relaxing with family and friends after enjoyable days exploring the local area.

There is a spacious dining area, where an elegant glass topped table seats up to ten and provides an ideal spot for enjoying leisurely breakfasts or gathering everyone together for family suppers.

A stylish and modern well-equipped kitchen provides everything guests could need for a self-catering break with appliances such as a dishwasher, three ovens, a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a large fridge/freezer.

The five bedrooms are split over two floors. On the first floor, there is the master bedroom, with a super-king double bed and flat screen TV and it also benefits from its own en-suite shower room that comes complete with a walk-in double shower, a wash basin and WC.

There are two further double bedrooms on this floor, which both enjoy sea views and smart TVs. One of these two double bedrooms also has its own en-suite shower room. There is also a family bathroom that has been fitted with a spacious walk-in shower, a large double-ended bath, a huge wash hand basin and a WC.

On the ground floor, there is a nice sized bunk bedroom – a firm favourite with the children. This bedroom also has a wall-mounted TV and an en-suite shower room. The fifth bedroom is the downstairs double bedroom and is ideal for less mobile guests staying at the house.

Outside the garden and stunning terrace can be accessed through sliding doors from the dining area and provides a large grass area that slopes down to the path that leads down to the village and beach. There is a table and chairs and a gas BBQ, plus a hot shower, great for washing off the sand from boards and feet after a day in the surf. From the terrace guests can enjoy alfresco dinners whilst admiring the stunning sea views, or relaxing as the sun sets beyond the horizon.

Seascape is an exceptional modern holiday home and ideal for those looking for a luxurious stay in the popular seaside village of Woolacombe. The house is just a short walk across the fields to the beach and the village with its vibrant mix of cafes, pubs, restaurants, ice cream parlours and surf shops.

If exploring further afield, the beaches of Croyde and Saunton are within easy reach, as is the Victorian harbour town of Ilfracombe where boats set sail for Lundy Island or around the coast on a sea safari.

  • There are five bedroom at Seascape, two of which are located on the ground floor of the property. The bedrooms include: Bedroom 1: The Master Bedroom. This bedroom features a massive "Super-King" size double bed, from which you can sit up in bed and look out over Woolacombe Bay. The other features in the Master Bedroom is the open double shower, which has a half-vanity glass protecting your modesty but it does mean that you can shower whilst watching the surfers down on the beach! There is also a wash-basin and WC plus plenty of storage space. Bedroom 2: Located on the first floor this bedroom has a large iron frame double bed, lots of storage space and great views over the sea. It also has an en-suite bathroom with shower. Bedroom 3: The middle bedroom located on the first floor has a wood framed double bed, a chest of draws and again great sea views. Bedroom 4: The ground floor double bedroom has a king-size double bed, as well as bedside tables and a chest-of-draws. Bedroom 5: Also located on the ground floor is the Bunk Room with full size bunk-beds and an en-suite shower room. This bedroom is a guaranteed favourite with children. Please note all the bedrooms are tastefully decorated and have been fitted with a wall-mounted Smart TV. If required a travel cot can be provided at no additional cost.

No expense has been spared when equipping Seascape. This gorgeous house has everything a guest could wish for when enjoying a self-catering holiday in North Devon. Technology fitted within the house includes, Sky TV, an X-Box, Netflix and a wireless music system. Within the kitchen there is a large fridge/freezer, three electric ovens, a coffee machine, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. To the rear of the house is the wonderful terrace from which the sea views are truly captured. This large wood decked area features a big table to seat up to 10, sun loungers, a BBQ and a heated external shower. There is even storage space for surf boards and wet-suits. At the front of the house there is ample off road car parking.

A lovely week in Devon

We booked the cottage as an opportunity for our extended family to all get together. The cottage was lovely and we felt welcomed by the prosecco, milk etc. The kids had a great time and spent most of the rainy days playing hide and seek or vegging out on the bean bags. We were lucky enough to bag the master suite and it is the first time we have stayed in a cottage where the bed was big enough for my 6ft 4 inch husband to stretch out and still have room to spare.

The only downside was we hadn't realised about the steep steps down into the cottage which were a little difficult for my mother to manage. There is plenty of room to create a gentle sloping amp down to the cottage which would improve accessibility as would widening the rear door by an inch so we could get the wheelchair out. Apart from that we loved everything

Fantastic relaxing week away

Such a lovely house- we all enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back. 5 good sized bedrooms and an excellent kitchen/dining/living area. Highlight was barbecuing on the huge deck overlooking Woolacombe bay. Our babies had a huge safe space to crawl around and explore.

The house was well equipped but when we did need one or two things the owner was so efficient and brought them to the house within 24 hours.

Would definitely recommend!

There are many family friendly attractions within easy reach of the house, including Watermouth Castle, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Exmoor Zoo and Ilfracombe Aquarium. Many of these will offer discounts on tickets purchased in advance, so it is well worth planning ahead. Other attractions nearby include RHS Rosemoor, Arlington Court and Dartington Crystal.

For walkers, the South West Coast Path is easily accessed in Woolacombe and provides an excellent way of seeing some of the stunning coastal views, as well as the wildlife. Cyclists and walkers can take advantage of the large traffic free Tarka Trail, which can be picked up in Braunton Burrows and winds its way along the coast before heading inland to Meeth on the edge of Dartmoor.

Golfers can enjoy courses at Saunton Sands or Ilfracombe, whilst horse riders will find many local stables offering both country and coastal rides - for the more experienced riders, beach rides are often available.

Seascape sits on Woolacombe Rise, a lovely quiet cul-du-sac overlooking Woolacombe Bay and across the Atlantic Ocean. Thanks to its elevated location the house enjoys some of the best views but remains within easy walking distance of the award-winning beach and the village centre - just take the path across the garden and over the road and enjoy the largely traffic free walk to the heart of Woolacombe.

Woolacombe itself has everything you could wish for - a selection of shops selling souvenirs to day-to-day essentials and a range of restaurants to suit all tastes. For something a little different take a blanket and bottle of wine and enjoy freshly cooked curry on Barricane Beach, which is served on certain nights throughout the summer months - this is a wonderful way to watch the sun set whilst savouring good food cooked on the beach.

The beach at Woolacombe has a blue flag and is ideal for families with the shallows providing a great place for toddlers to paddle and soft golden sands perfect for building sand castles. For water-sport enthusiasts there are several that can be experienced at the beach with surfing being the main highlight for many - lessons, wet suit and surfboard hire available for all ages and levels of ability.

Alternative beaches just a short drive away include Croyde, which is a mecca for surfers, and the gorgeous Saunton Sands, a privately owned beach backed by the Braunton Burrows, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. For something a little quieter visit some of the more secluded coves such as Lee Bay and Tunnels Beach in Ilfracombe.

The Victorian harbour town of Ilfracombe is less than a 10-minute drive and has a wide array of both shops and restaurants. From here guests can also set sail on a sea safari or head over to Lundy Island to see some of the more unusual wildlife.
