3 bedroom, 2 bathroom stable conversion in Pinford End, Hawstead

Swallows Roost was renovated to a high standard earlier this year. There are 2 generous double bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom, and a family bathroom. The third bedroom has two single beds, with room for a further single bed or cot if required. A spacious living area includes a television with a sound bar, which enables you to connect your own music via Bluetooth. The large open plan kitchen allows many hands to share the cooking while taking a full part in the conversation in the living area. Full height windows give wonderful views across two acres of grassland and farmland beyond. You can also savour the views from the large yet secluded area in front of the property, where you can sit peacefully, enjoy a barbecue or watch your children playing. If you would like a night out, babysitting can be arranged.

About Henry and Hayley Brewis

We are Henry and Hayley Brewis and we have lived at Pinford End Farmhouse, which is just across the lane from Swallows Roost, for 23 years. We have two daughters and cannot imagine living anywhere else. We are both airline pilots and although we have travelled the world, home is best!

Henry and Hayley Brewis purchased this barn in 1993

What makes this barn unique

The stables have been converted in the most sympathetic and eco-friendly way possible, retaining full height ceilings and the original stable doors. Energy needs are met by an air source heat pump which supplies underfloor heating throughout and solar panels which are tucked away in the meadow. Outside there is a large area for enjoying views over the countryside around a barbecue, with two acres of meadow at your disposal, leading down to the tiny River Lark.

Nice! Comfort and cossy

The cottage is all you need. At arrival the heating was on, nice bottle of wine in fridge with eggs, butter etc. We where there with 4 childeren

Love this property!! Henry and Hayley provided my family a 5 star experience.

ThIs property met all our needs and was just fantastic for our holiday season. Henry and Hayley had lights on and the home warm and welcoming. Goodies on the table, a few staples in the fridge and a Christmas tree with lights on the porch-I could not have asked for more. This is our 5th VRBO rental and is definitely our favorite. We hope to utilize this property again sometime this next year. Thanks again. Hope to see you again soon.

Quality Accommodation close to Bury St Edmunds

The owners sent detailed email with all contacts and instrufor putting lights and heating on so on a dark,cold, December afternoon a perfect start to our weekend. We appreciated and enjoyed fresh bread, butter, milk, biscuits and of course the wine, very thoughtful. Quality furnishings, linen and fittings to a high standard.

Rural Perfection!

This beautiful stable conversion provides a comfortable and luxurious place to stay. The finishing is to a high standard and the quality of bedding/towels above average for a rental property. The booking was smooth from start to finish and the owners provided a thoughtful welcome pack. The location was peaceful and within easy reach of Bury St Edmunds and many tourist attractions. As a party of five, two adults, two teenager and an elderly mother with mobility issues we coudn't have chosen a better place to stay, and hopefully we will return in the future.

Nearest Train : Bury St Edmunds at 4 Miles Nearest Motorway : A14 at 4 Miles Nearest Restaurant : Bury St Edmunds at 3.5 Miles Car: necessary

Swallows Roost has all the benefits of a peaceful, rural location, but is only 10 minutes from the historic market town of Bury St Edmunds. The National Trust Ickworth Estate is also only 10 minutes away and the scenic towns of Lavenham and Long Melford are also within easy reach. Swallows Roost makes an ideal base for walking, cycling and exploring Suffolk. Bicycles can be hired from the cycle cafe in the village and Clarice House spa is close by for some pampering. Horse riding is yet another of the many possibilities on offer.
