The East Village Apartments are in a historic 1850s New York brownstone, located in the hip East Village - a charming neighborhood in downtown Manhattan. Our New York holiday rental flats are walking distance to great restaurants, lively bars and fabulous shopping.

Our beautifully designed and renovated Manhattan vacation rental apartments have all the comfort of a modern home in a historic atmosphere. The Garden Duplex Apartment is a 2 story unit on the garden level with its own entrance. It sleeps 8 people in 4 bedrooms and has its own private garden. TheTerrace Apartment is 5 steps above the street level and sleeps 2- 4 people in 1 bedroom and a living room sofa bed. Apartment Sol is on the 2nd floor and sleeps 5 people in 2 bedrooms. The Penthouse is a duplex apartment on the 3rd and 4th floors and sleeps 6- 7 people in 3 bedrooms. The whole house accommodates a total of 24 people.

Apartment Sol is a spacious 100m² apartment on the second floor of our historic building, and is very sunny and bright. The tall windows, 3m high ceilings and original red brick walls add to the old world charm. Guests can relax in the comfortable open plan living room with a comfortable sofa and a dining table that seats 6. The bathroom is accessed from this open lounge and has a toilet, shower, sink and hair dryer.

There is a large master bedroom with a tempurpedic queen size mattress. The smaller second bedroom is separated from the Living room with sliding doors and has a double bed and a window overlooking the lovely tree in our garden. The living room has a King size sofa bed.

we stayed in the "Sol" apt, 2 adults , 2 teens. great location, easy to get to subway,grocery,restaurants,shops. we felt safe; comfortable beds, clean and fun decor. kitchen was awesome, easy for breakfasts/lunches and take home food when tired at supper. staff were very helpful. all of us would go back in a sec, thoroughly enjoyed the neighbourhood:)

Great space for 5/6 people. Clean and easy to get around town.

We were lucky enough to spend one night in the suite. We were glad the one night was on last day of our stay. It was very beautiful. wow.

Our only probem was that the electrical box smelled badly and concern us.

Owner's Response: We followed up on the guest complaint about a rubbery smell from the bedroom, and finally located a faulty outlet, which we changed immediately. Maintenance problems do surface in our 1832 brownstone, but we try to act quickly to fix problems. Guest satisfaction is our priority.

Spacious clean appartment

Nice property, very clean and spacious. Also the communication with the owner

was very pleasant. The appartment is situated very centraly, close to the subway.

The supermarket (wholefoods) is only two blocks away, 5 minute walk.

The only one small disadvantage was the wooden floor, which made a lot of noice walking on the parts which were not covered with carpet.

1st Class Apartments & Ideal Location!!!!

Myself and 5 friends have just returned from a great trip in NY (12/4/10). I strongly recommend staying in East Village Apartments. Situated in an ideal location as Greenwich Village and Soho are only a few blocks away, which are full of nice restaurants / bars and are great for shopping. There's also a nice wee bar just opposite the apartment called "The Whiskey Bar". If you want to go in to central Manhattan, you can hop on the tube which is only round the corner from the apartments and the tube is only a few stops from central Manhattan.

The apartments themselves were spotless and have all the requirements of a self catering apartment. Very friendly / helpful staff!!!!

I would recommend this property to anyone and we will definately be back!!!!

The only problem with our stay was that it wasn't long enough!!!!!!

A weekend in Apartment Sol

The East Village is a wonderful location if you want to get away from the tourist spots and be where the real New Yorkers live. The area can be very lively and therefore noisy at night, so keep windows closed and AC on, but it is very well positioned for the subway and cabs and for generally getting around the city. There are lots of bars, restaurants and shops within walking distance. We felt very safe. Perfect to soak up the atmosphere.

The apartment is fitted to a very high standard. We were two couples. The second bedroom is very small but adequate. Although the rest of the apartment is quite spacious. There is only one mirror, and that is in the bathroom, but again, only a minor problem.

For us it was the perfect alternative to an hotel. We loved the area and are happy to recommend it to other travellers who want to sample more than the usual tourist version of the city.

Nice area, great place to stay

Warm welcome and great tips for our stay. Not far located from public transport, so easily to discover the whole of the Big Apple. Stayed with 6 people more then comfortably, and had a wonderfull time there. Well equipped and clean appartment.

Walk 10 minutes to Union Square, where you can buy fresh farm foods at the Farmers Market. Movie fans can see avant-garde films at the 2 cinemas within 5 minutes walk. The bar scene is outside the door. Tompkins Square Park is a fun place to hang out and watch funky New Yorkers. Rent a citibike and bike on the East river trail.

F train to Times Square and Broadway theaters in 15- 20 minutes.
