Absolutely Perfect!!!

  • 5 of 5

Me and my two children (15yrs +21yrs) stayed at Casa Gabriella for a week in early June. The location was perfect, just a 10/15minute stroll to the town, local supermarket, tourist information (with bus time-tables etc) restaurants, pizzerias/eateries, shops, markets, public library (with internet access) and main bus stops (for Florence, Sienna etc. etc) even though it's a small town there was always something going on, we felt ideally situated!

We don't drive and have never travelled to Italy before, in hindsight, a car driver or someone more familiar with traveling/conversing in Italy would've made things easier, initialy I did feel a bit unprepared but never the less we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The accomodation itself was fantastic, cool, spacious, clean, well maintained including gardens and pool, well furnished & equipped with all basic essentials. I adored the views and waking up everyday to the smell of jasmine and such perfect peace, watching the sun set each evening beyond the cypress tress with nothing but the sound of crickets, I am a keen walker and found the surrounding countryside breathtaking, I would thoroughly recommend Casa Gabriella and definately stay again, I miss it already!!

With many Thanks to all concerned!

Perfect location for exploring Tuscany

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Gabriella. We had a group of 8 sharing the 3 bedroom apartment and it never crowded. With 3 bathrooms we never had a line. The apartment was very well appointed. It is only a short walk to the village for supplies. We had a car but you can easily catch a bus in the village if you need to. Being located between Florence and Siena it was easy to find and also easy to get to not only Floence and Siena but all the lovely Chianti towns, San Gimignamo, Volterra, San Donato, Greve, Panzano. We had such a great time. We just need to find out when we can come back. I would recommend April as the wisteria was in full bloom and it wasn't crowded at all. Our thanks to AnnaMaria, Fernando and Gabriella for being such wonderful hosts.

Fantastic place for family stay

  • 5 of 5

My wife, my two girls and I visited from Canada and had a great time staying at Casa Gabrielle. After many days of touring Rome and Venice, the quietness and beauty of the country side were very welcomed. We stayed in the top suite and enjoyed the incredible view. We also played some football in the yard, and enjoyed a picnic amongst the olive trees. The walk into town was an easy kilometer, although there aren't any sidewalks for some of the walk. Our host was great, and we found it convenient to travel by bus into Florence for the day. But just staying there and relaxing was the best!

Heizung unzureichend und Ärger mit der Vermieterin

  • 2 of 5

You can reach Tavarnelle by walk, where you'll find restaurants and pizzerias (in summer also open air pizzerias, low cost and very good), shops and a supermarket, wine tasting and bus transfers (hourly to and from Florence and Siena), and a large tourist office. From the property you can also make walking routes discovering ancient villas and magnificent old castles and villages. In each village, there are open-air markets each morning where you can find everything and enjoy the Italian way of life. Large supermarkets and outlets can be reached in an hour. For children, approximately less than one hour from here there is the seaside, the lining tower of Pisa, the wind caves, the Dinosaurs’ Park, the Pinocchio Park in Collodi, the Pratolino garden. At client disposal two mountains bikes, Euro 20,00 per week each
