About The Owner

I was born and raised in Pimlico, so I know the area like the back of my hand. I love walking round the streets, spotting the plaques to some of the famous people who lived here. It's remarkably quiet for central London, but with easy access to all the sights. I work as a journalist, and split my time between London and Edinburgh

Comfortable, charming and centrally located

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough about how pleased we were with our home away from home in London! It was perfect for our family of 4 and was perfectly located to see all the sights. I adored the back garden area and the plants were fragrant and gorgeously maintained. We spent a lot of time out there in that oasis in the middle of the city! Kitchen was well appointed and I made breakfast most mornings to charge up my kids for the day ahead. We would absolutely choose to stay here again!! Thank you so much!!

Wonderful London Flat

  • 5 of 5

This was a fantastic home base for my husband and I, along with our two 12 and 13 year old sons. We took Miranda's advice and booked tickets on the Heathrow Express into Paddington and since it was late and raining, took a cab to the flat. Very nice kitchen, the boys were perfectly comfortable in the bunk beds and we were just fine in the small bedroom with the double bed. We walked all over London, but also made use of buses and the Tube with Oyster cards and really saw A LOT in a short amount of time (boys really enjoyed the Tower of London and the Imperial War Museum as well as the Portobello Road Saturday market). The neighborhood is filled with shops and restaurants--we really enjoyed walking to the Thames one night and then down towards Parliament/Westminster/Big Ben, then through St. James Park past Buckingham Palace. We were thrilled to make use of Miranda's many excellent guide books and even took a day trip to Windsor/Bath/Stonehenge that we could easily do through Victoria Coach Station. It was nice to self check-in and out and we'd happily stay here again on our next visit to London--what a beautiful city. Thank you, Miranda!

Lovely, quiet apartment in the heart of London

  • 5 of 5

Miranda' garden flat is the perfect base for exploring the heart of London. Ideally located to access museums, Westminster, and churches this flat provides a clean and quiet retreat to recharge and refresh. We loved the garden! And although we were there in July--we enjoyed a lovely breeze in the apartment and slept quietly and wonderfully each night! Highly recommended!

Perfect London Hideaway

  • 5 of 5

This lovely little flat fit the needs of my husband, our 10 year old granddaughter and myself for 4 nights (the last 4 of a 2 week trip to Scotland, Wales and various spots in England. It was a 10 minute walk to Victoria Station for buses and subways and there were additional nearby as well for transportation. The apartment was very quiet and supplied with all we needed. The owner Miranda was easy to reach and pleasant to work with. We would like to return.

Great stay in a great flat in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 2 adults and 3 kids and we just spent a week in London. The flat is less than 10 minutes walk from Victoria in a quiet street but with plenty of good shops and restaurants within a short walk. The flat was ideal, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Booking with Miranda was a pleasure and she provided us with all the information we needed to ensure we had a good stay, she even checked in with us during our stay to make sure all was ok. The location is very central, hop on the tube in Victoria and even a handy stroll to Buckingham palace. The kids appreciated having Wifi available to them in the evening when we got back after long days of touring around. The quiet location ensured all had a good nights sleep. An excellent base and would highly recommend both the flat and the location.

Great location, lovely flat

  • 5 of 5

Just spent a long weekend with my family (two adults, two kids) in the flat and we were absolutely delighted. Communication with Miranda friendly and efficient, and entry went very smoothly. An easy 10 minute walk from Victoria, which worked perfect as we flew into Gatwick which connects direct to Victoria through the Gatwick Express. Very nice street in a quiet area. The flat is more nice and cosy than big and spacious, but we felt very comfortable and it worked perfectly for our needs. We slept very well in the comfy double bed in the main bedroom, and our two boys enjoyed the bunk beds in the second bedroom. The small kitchen is very well equipped and the vaulted bathroom is a feature in itself. All in all - highly recommended!
