Built as a wealthy banker's summer house in the end of the 19th century, our property is situated in a 2000 m2 field at the top of the "Patsana" hill overlooking the Artemonas village with view of Antiparos and Paros.
It is built over two floors, both of which have access to the huge garden.
The top floor comprises of:
- Three bedrooms. One master bedroom with en-suit bathroom, one Double Bedroom with its private veranda with a majestic view and a Twin bedroom. All of them have spacious closets and ceiling fans.
- The living room with two couches, two arm chairs, a coffee table and TV/Stereo. Doorway to the double room
- One hall with access to the master bedroom, the main bathroom, the living room and the downstairs floor. A sofa bed is also situated there.
Going down the stairway one enters the "old" sitting room. Access to the downstairs bathroom, the garden, the dinning room and the kitchen. Two couches will provide comfort as you read through the magazines or surf the Internet while the rest of the company is still asleep upstairs. You can of course have your coffee in the lovely sitting area situated in the kitchen as well. Or you can opt to sit outside, in one of the 4 different terraces depending on which one is more to your liking in different parts of the day! The kitchen is fully functional with a double marble sink with hot water, a gas cooker, an electric cooker, electric kettle, sandwich toaster and milkshake mixer. The cutlery is enough for a dinner party!
The garden is huge! It occupies two different levels. The bottom level is our private vineyard. Depending on the period you are visiting you will be able to pick your dinner grapes at will. 5 fig trees will make up for your sweet tooth! The top level is full of seasonal flowers, herbs for your salad, or your Mojito. At the far end of the field, the almond trees will be waiting for you to pickup a handful and crash them on the spot, or simply lay down a chair and enjoy the tranquility in the shade!
You can only reach the house on foot after a 4 to 5 minute walk depending on the path you follow. You will walk through fig, olive and almond trees of the village's gardens and you will see capers growing in almost every corner of the stone built walls! Renting a car or a motorcycle will benefit overall your visit to the island, as Sifnos has relatively long distances and public transportation won't get you everywhere. Having said that, the bus stop is just a 4' walk away. No need for vehicle when you want to enjoy Sifnos' nightlife, as a different footpath will get you there in less than 10'.
