Enter the property through wrought iron gates off Camden road and follow the stone path through the front garden towards the steps to make your way through the main entrance door. You are welcomed by a long hallway with a traditional wood & tiled floor. There is plenty of space in the hall to hang your coat and store your shoes. An original spindle staircase leads guests to the first and lower ground floor. Walk through the hallway and you’ll find yourself in the living and dining area which seats six guests around a large dining table. The living room is furnished with comfortable sofas, floor cushions and a footstool. There is a wall mounted wide flatscreen TV with Sonos bar, DVD player & Roberts bluetooth CD/Radio. The sitting and dining rooms are inter-connecting and have exposed wooden floors, two original fireplaces and hand-crafted timber cupboards with plenty of storage.
Walk out of the dining room turning left and you will find yourself in a cleverly arranged space for the study annex, a quiet place to read or plan your stay in Bath. There is downstairs WC cloakroom to save you walking up or downstairs to the bathroom.
The kitchen is close by and is a stunning room basking in natural light from the skylight ceiling. From the annex you can walk through the back door & take the stone steps up towards the garden where you will find the peace and quiet of the verandah. The veranadah provides sheltered outdoor seating and dining for four to six. Walk on up the steps through a wrought iron gate & you will find a peaceful garden with pretty shrubs, trees, lavender & landscaped lawn to lay your rug out and enjoy the views across Bath. At the end of lawn there is a beautiful summer house on raised timber decking. Take a seat in our wonderful wicker chairs, relax & soak up stunning views over the Bath valley. The summer house has comfortable wicker seating and is a peaceful place to read & enjoy the hills beyond.
Moving back into the house on the first floor, there are two well sized king size bedrooms. They have period fireplaces and wardrobe style cupboards & shelving, one having an outlook to the front and one with a view over the rear garden. Bedroom One has a super king sized bed and bedroom two can be either a super king bed or two super singles. There is a further single bedroom facing to the front with a tallboy and side table for storage. The first floor bathroom has a lovely view from its sash window to the back garden & summerhouse. We wish all our guests a wonderful stay in this beautiful Georgian home.
Welcome to 17 The Town House. We have been visiting our family & friends in Bath for over 20 years and decided that this beautiful city was the perfect place to purchase a home in the UK to base ourselves from for our holidays and weekends away. We're a family of four with two 10 year old children so Bath & its region provide many exciting holiday activities for all of us. Museums, Theatre, history, culture, boutique shopping, Bath Thermae Spa, National Trust houses, nearby beaches, Tree museums, Canal walks and cycles... The list is endless. We love visiting family in the nearby Cotswolds and enjoy taking longer road trips further south to Devon and Cornwall using Bath as a base to return to.

We had a fabulous stay here after Christmas. Everything about the house has been very well thought through and to a high standard. The booking process was simple and when we arrived we were welcomed by the lovely House Manager some fresh flowers, local bread and wine - what a great start to a break in Bath! The city centre is a walk away and the nearby village has most of what you'd need. We will certainly be back.

Our group stayed at Seventeen The Town House over the New Year weekend and what an amazing property it is – one of the best we’ve stayed in. The house is so warm and cosy with lots of lovely touches – the interior design of every room is beautiful with high quality furnishings, lighting etc, just wonderful. The property had everything we needed and more and made a great base for walking into central Bath or to the outskirts for a countryside walk.
Victoria was extremely friendly, helpful and responsive and left us a fantastic welcome pack including a bottle of bubbly! Victoria also recommended some local cafes, restaurants and pubs, some of which we visited and loved (The Hare and Hounds, The Marlborough Tavern and Chequers). When we visit Bath again we will definitely be staying here!
7 of us stayed here for a long weekend, visiting my daughter at Bath Uni.
Plenty of room for everyone, the house has been put together with plenty of TLC, and it shows.
Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone, we will definitely be staying again!
We had an excellent stay at this beautiful home. It was very clean, included all essentials you could possibly need, plus more! We received a very thoughtful welcome basket. The location is great, within walking distance to Bath city centre. Victoria was very helpful prior to and during our stay, really going above and beyond. We would easily go back here and I would highly recommend it.
Thank you
Laura
A wonderful house with everything we could possible need. Well maintained house that's beautifully fitted to a high specification.
Tastefully decorated throughout, spotlessly clean, well equipped kitchen with a generous welcome basket. Best of all - exceptionally comfortable beds.
I'd highly recommend this property.
Seventeen The Town House was a joy to stay at. The house was immaculate, with wonderful décor throughout. Not only does it look good, but it is a really well stocked house for visitors, from everything you will need in the kitchen, to some great board games, and a great garden to sit and soak up the sun it.
Easy walking distance to town, and a good workout back up the hill after a pub lunch.
Thoroughly loved the stay, and will defiantly return!
Whilst the house is in the city centre of Bath, it is also nearby many small convenient shops and cafes in Larkhall, a ten minute walk away if you prefer not to head into Bath. In Larkhall you will find a well stocked Co-Op, local Butchers, Ma Cuisine a french home cooked gourmet frozen meal supplier with a small cafe, green grocer, a couple of cafes, a grogeous deli who kept me supplied with their great baguettes and flapjacks, a pharmacy and last but not least Langridges a brilliant hardware store who have helped me no end with our house!
if you prefer a larger supermarket you can hop onto a bus or into the car and head to Waitrose in the centre of town at the Podium car park. The bus stop is a short 2 minute walk along Camden Road, buses heading into the centre every 15 minutes.
