We stayed at L'isle sur Andelle for 10 days end August beginning September. From entering the property over two wooden bridges traversing the streams surrounding the home, one immediately has a sense of privacy and tranquility.
The picturesque home is perfectly situated and well kept, surrounded by pretty gardens which were still in bloom. Entering the home one immediately feels welcome - it is lovingly furnished with an old world charm - you have the feeling that these are happy family memories. Am amazing open fireplace, leading onto a little patio, overlooking lush lawns, a field and the horses paddock. Totally idyllic. The kitchen is well appointed is easy to cook with all the produce from the local village farmers markets (of which Valerie has made excellent note of in the house information). The bathrooms were clean and the bedrooms very comfortable.
Valerie was very swift in responding to any questions we had prior to our stay - the house book also contains a thorough detailed information about the appliances in the house, the handy contact details and detailed lists of the interesting sights to see in the surroundings (which are beautiful). The village is situated in a large magnificent forest area with plenty of walking possibilities.
We can not wait to book another stay in this small slice of paradise in Normandy.
Thank you Valerie for sharing your special place with us!.
