Lots of privacy and quietness, private pool, many bathrooms, great sea views.
This charming traditional Mykonian house overlooking the Psarou bay is built in its own plot providing lots of privacy and quietness. As you enter into the parking of the property the sea view over the Aegean archipelagos is breathtaking. The sea is all around and as the house is facing south, on a clear day you can count many Cycladic islands. A fly of stone-made stairs will take you to the lower level where a more ‘tamed’ surrounding with pergolas covered with bougambilias and plants in traditional “pitharia” will lead you to the main entrance of the house. As you enter into the house there is the dining room with a table and the open plan kitchen. To your left there is the first en-suite room with a double bed and a bathroom. To your right there is a big door that opens into the cosy livingroom dominated by a very big window with a view to the sea. The mezzanine floor is in this area and it has a large double bed and a small window which brings a nice summer breeze. Underneath the mezzanine is a bookcase and a single bed as well as a bathroom and many cupboards for clothes. There is the second bathroom. From the livingroom another door will take you out where another separate room with double bed and an en-suite bathroom is. There is also the swimming pool area with the bamboos and the wooden deck giving it a very unique feel. Going back to the dining area, there is a door opening to the semi open breakfast area. The marble top table is covered by a bamboo pergola for protection from the sun and the wind. The breakfast area communicates with another third separate room with a double bed and its own bathroom.
There is a fully equipped kitchen and

About Elena Mouriki
My name is Elena. I was born in Greece, and after studying social anthropology in London and completed my research in Tanzania, I returned to Athens, Greece where I live with my British partner and our two children. Before I had any kids I was travelling a lot and I always keep in mind how I would like to be welcomed and treated if I visited someone else's house. So far, I consider myself lucky that I had the opportunity to meet so many incredible people who visit Mykonos and stay in our place. They all add their personal touch in a house we love and where we have spent some of the best times ever.
Elena Mouriki purchased this house in 1986
Why Elena Mouriki chose Greece
My mother bought that property in 1985, when she was travelling in the Cyclades. When she arrived in Mykonos she instantly loved the place and a friend insisted she should see a property that was for sale. At the moment she wasn't planning to buy a summer house, but she decided to have a look anyway.. the interesting thing is that she confused the directions and found herself in a wrong place...this was not the house that her friend was talking about. She had stroke gold! it was love at first sight. The views over the Aegean sea where breathtaking and the orientation (south) ideal, the house was flooded into light.
She souk hands with the owner there and then, and the rest is history. Over the years we changed many things of the original design; we lowered and widened a window, built the fire place, added a guest-room, paved the verandas, planted the bugambilias, the oleanders, the geraniums, had a swimming pool etc. All this 'add ons' give it a sort of 'vernacular feel to it but at the same time is very functional. We always believed that true summer relaxation needs to be simple yet functional. This is a very simple and very lovable house

This property is absolutely gorgeous, with a stunning view over the sea as well as a very nice pool, definetely enjoyable! It's also close to the main road (just be sure to have a means of transportation) and the basic necessities for everyone, so you'll have a both comfortable and very relaxing stay in one of the most beautiful spots of the island.
Unbelievable location, views and overall atmosphere
The villa is absolutely unbelievable, stunning views and great ambiance. Elena is amazing with very useful advise and always willing to help with queries. Highly recommend this to anyone family or mates to come for a week or even longer. Make sure you bring mosquito repellent as they are quite bad, and be careful of CAB company the one in particular was bad and ripped us off quite badly
First of all, Elena is a great landlady - she always replied quick, speaks great English so communication is a plus and helped us with visa forms. She also left us food and a stocked fridge upon arrival which was very well received.
The villa was big enough for a group of 10 uni friends and we had so much fun. The decor is lovely, authentic and clean, nothing is missing and nothing is extra. I would give the villa 5 * and would gladly return.
The only things to consider are getting around from there. It's quite secluded which means lots of quiet, which I like, but it's a good 25 minutes up and down a hill to the bus stop. Taxis are very expensive and we got quads (fun, but very unsafe, they're generally bad quality in Mykonos). Psarou beach is quite near but the path there is quite steep so take that into account. If you get some means of transport, you shouldn't have any issues and a lovely holiday!
*it's also on the top of the hill so veeeeery windy*
great vacations, wonderfull house
Helena has been a great host, she welcome us on the harbor and she has prepared the house so nicely with a lot of details and atention, the fridge was full for a first diner and breakfast. so we can relax from the begining of our stay.
The location is perfect, the vue is stuning and the house is very agreable to live even with a lot of people.
thank you, hope to come back soon
Best Views Ever!
After some initial hiccups which were very quickly sorted out by Elena, we loved our stay here. I would recommend this property. Fantastic location, good fluffy towels, comfortable beds and an excellent welcome pack.
The best Villa ever!!!
We had an amazing 4 days trip in Helena's Villa. It is located on the top of a hill with a 180° ocean view. Supermarket and downtown are 10 minutes away with taxis ou scooters. Beach are all around too.
Helena is just the best host. She came to pick us up late at night at the Feries. She came to check if everything was find and helps us to discover the island. I totaly recommand this Villa if you plan to spend vacations with friends or couples. Don't hesitate!

Activity and Interests
Our family home is a white washed traditional Cycladic house with bugambilias climbing on the pergolas and oleanders all around . A house ideal for families and friends. It is a beautifully decorated house in a private plot of land with spectacular sea views. It is very functional and can accommodate many people, because of its 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms as well as lots of clothes storage.
All beds have feather pillows and good quality cotton bed linen. New bath towels as well as beach towels are provided for all guests.
A big plus is the privacy, and very quite surroundings. It has a fully equipped kitchen. Great swimming pool.
Mykonos is one for the most cosmopolitan islands in the Mediterranean, it is well known for its unique and many sandy beaches, excellent restaurants (from Greek tavernas to top end Thais, Italian or Japanese restaurants) and night life. There are bars, clubs and top rate DJs but also secluded wild sand beaches waiting to be discovered .
Mykonos offers a wide range of activities such as horse riding, sea sports, wind surfing, scuba diving etc, as well as boat-trips to Delos, the birth place of Apollo and Diana. The child friendly village of Ano Mera is ideal for families with young children where the central square is surrounded by traditional tavernas and cars are not allowed so that kids can run all around in this protected and very pretty part of the island.
The international airport and regular ferry boats to Athens and most other Cycladic islands (Santorini, Paros, Naxos, Ios and more) means that no days are lost travelling.
The house is close to supermarkets, petrol, station, bus stop and Mykonos town. Even though the cosmopolitan Psarou beach is just 10 min walk down the hill, a car is recommended in order to make most of this incredible island.
The area is very safe.
