Great location, lovely apartment.

I stayed here with three others for one week, and had a wonderful time. The owner arranged for us to be collected from the Avignon TGV station, and although this wasn't entirely straightforward in the end, that was largely my fault for failing to return the rental contract in time. In any case, the transfer was a good deal more reasonable than other taxi firms quoted. The flat itself is spacious, well-equipped, modern and clean, with ample room for 4-6 people (bear in mind, though, that there is only one toilet). The balcony is a huge advantage: we had breakfast on the large table, and made the most of the views, not only of the pool and the elegant apartment complex, but also of the Alpilles beyond. It is less than 10 minutes walk from the centre of town, along a pleasant and well-lit road, and for our purposes another advantage was that it was on the right side of town for the bus stop (connections to Arles, Cavaillon and Avignon, and, in summer Les Baux-de-Provence). The swimming pool is a bonus, and there are usually times during the day when it is empty. St-Remy itself is a beautiful little town with excellent restaurants (L'Estagnol and La Cuisine des Anges were particular highlights; for crêpes La Celtie; we couldn't get a table at La Cantina, but it was festival week), all amenities that could be wished for, and appealing historic sites: don't miss the Saint-Paul asylum or the impressive ruins at Glanum.

Endroit paisible à deux pas du centre de St Rémy

Nous avons passé une très agréable semaine dans cet appartement résidentiel tout proche du centre de la ville. Tout a su nous combler, la gentillesse et la disponibilité du propriétaire ainsi que l'accueil chaleureux de Virginie. L'appartement en lui-même est fidèle à sa description et est très bien entretenu. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le caractère intime de la résidence à un seul étage. La piscine se trouve en face de l'appartement et son entretien est assuré chaque jour. Prévoir éventuellement des chaises pliantes car il n'y a pas de transats à disposition. Nous recommandons sans hésitation cette location qui nous a permis de passer des vacances sereines et reposantes.
