Charming flat that sleeps 4/5 people, entirely new, carefully decorated and equipped. The flat is located 1880m high in "Le Hameau des Rennes" mountain resort, in Vars-les-Claux in the Queyras Regional Parc (Hautes-Alpes - 05). Ready-to-ski accommodation, 50m away from the centre of the village. Very large, well-equipped ski area, good snow cover and much sunshine. Lots of possible activities in the summer too. Living-room with 1 bed-settee (2 beddings) + 1 folding bed / pouffe (for children under 12). 88cm wide flat screen TELEVISION, INTERNET ACCESS and TELEPHONE (local calls only). Balcony with 1 metal pedestal table + 2 chairs. Fully fitted kitchen with serving hatch including: four-ring ceramic hob, sink, micro-wave oven, fridge with deep-freeze compartment, dishwasher, grill/raclette machine and "fondue au chocolat" set. 1 room with 1 double bed and flat screen TV + DVD/DIVX player. Our Best Visit to Vars!

This is the 4th time I've been to Vars for a winter holiday, for my partner it's his 8th or 9th. We love Vars, he boards, I ski. However, this year, our holiday was so much better than any we've been on before and the main reason for that was the amazing apartment we stayed in.

Communication with the owners was clear, accurate and very timely. They speak and write impeccable English, for me a non French speaker this was really useful.

The apartment itself is a new build in a really well designed and stylish 'complex'. It's furnished to a high standard and very comfortable. The sofa has plenty of cushions, the bed is large and really comfortable and you're provided with everything you could possibly need - good quality kitchen equipment (all new) and this is followed through with everything else in the apartment. It has a homely and spacious feel, rather than a place just kitted out for renting. There wasn't anything we needed, it's all there.

We weren't sure how far 'out' of town it would be - however, again due to clever design it's only a few mins walk. We walked in and out of town whenever required, carrying shopping back - and we had a car with us that we just didn't use.

Two of the most amazing things about this place:

The view from the balcony and the inside of the apartment - you look onto the mountains, it's very peaceful and you feel you are away from it all.

The ski in / out. Basically, you go to the ski locker, walk 5 meters pop on your skis and off you go down a gentle little slope and there's the chair lift. This is true ski in / out. We had lunch back at the apartment almost every day, it's that easy and quick.

We're already in conversation about booking for next year.

Ps the wifi was excellent, I had to work for a day and had no problems at all with it - and during the rest of the stay it was perfect.

Dommage, pas de vue dégagée et des travaux tout autour.

Appartement très bien équipé, propre, accueillant. Tres bon contact avec gestionnaire de l'appartement.

Emplacement un peu excentré pour un séjour d'été mais n'allons nous pas à la montagne pour marcher et randonner l'été. ...

Il manque juste une vue dégagée sur la montagne.

Très bon séjour malgré cela sur Vars.

Owner's Response: La vue sur la est tout de même bien visible du canapé et du balcon. Les travaux annoncent à nos futurs clients l'arrivée en décembre 2016 de la piscine, du sauna et du jacuzzi...avis aux amateurs de baignade sous la neige!

Très bon séjour

Un séjour très agréable dans un très bel appartement dommage que la neige n'était pas au rendez vous car vraiment bien situé pour attaquer une journée de ski avec les skis chaussés du début à la fin; le local à ski dans le garage est vraiment très pratique pour le rangement car il se trouve sur le passage pour se rendre à la première piste qui se trouve juste en face mais avec le manque de neige cela n'était pas possible du coup on a pu profiter de ce très bel appartement très bien agencé Avec tout l'équipement qu'il faut je conseille cette location sans aucune réserve de plus les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et la concierge qui vous accueille aussi.

Très bel appartement correspondant bien à l'annonce.

Nombreux rangements.

Belle décoration et appareils de bonne qualité.

Bonne literie (un peu ferme a notre goût).

Accessibilité facile via les ascenseurs et parking pratique.

Très bien accueillis par la concergerie et bons conseils (disponible).

Très belle station avec bcp d'activité (randonnée, vtt, activités pour enfants...).

Choix de différents restaurants, supérettes, pharmacie, il y a tout sur place.

Nous recommandons cette location.

Idéal pour couple et famille.

"Appartement en parfait é...

"Appartement en parfait état et très bien équipé (électroménager neuf, 2 TVs, lecteur DVD, jeux...). Les draps et serviettes sont fournis, ce qui est un plus très appréciable. Propriétaires agréables, sérieux et bien organisés.

A noter : sans 4x4, pneus neige ou chaines sont obligatoires pour accéder au parking de la résidence.

Un seul point négatif pour nous qui avons 3 jeunes enfants : l''accès aux écoles de ski n''est pas pratique, il faut prendre 2 ascenseurs + marcher plusieurs minutes."

The Queyras Regional Parc is located in the Hautes-Alpes area in the south-east of France, close to the Italian border. Coming from the north of France, take the motorway to Grenoble. Then, follow the N94 to Briançon, then Guillestre and Vars on the D902 road.

You can also take the train from Paris (Saint-Lazare station) to Montdauphin-Guillestre. Vars ski resort is about 10 km away from the station but there is a regular coach service to Vars (about 10 euros per head) you can take to and from.
