Apartment very basic. Electrics a disgrace. No heating. Nights very cold.
There were lots of issues that totally ruined my enjoyment.
1. Extensive building work going on at the exterior of the apartment block for the final 4 weeks of my 6 week stay.
2. Stone dust and excessive noise from building work.
3. The lift was inoperative for the final 2 weeks of my stay. I had no prior knowledge whatsoever from the apartment owner of these issues, although he admits he was aware of them. If I had, there is no way I would have stayed there.
4. I went to Spain for 6 weeks to recuperate from bad health and surgery I had last year. All the aforementioned issues aggravated my problems.
5 I must further add that the electricity was a complete shambles in the apartment. I could only use one appliance at a time or the whole system would go off and I had to go to fuse box to rectify.
6. To add to all of this, the apartment was unheated.
7. In the final analysis, what should have been a dream vacation turned into a nightmare. In particular, having no lift was a major factor. I am in poor health and the main reason I selected the apartment was because it had a lift. The workmen told me the lift was being removed and would not be replaced until long after I had left. I had to walk and carry shopping up 2 flights of steps which caused me substantial problems.
I communicated with the apartment owner but he did nothing to resolve my problems at all. This is disgraceful.
