Modern property with air conditioning/heating.Located on the second floor but with a lift. Main kitchen diner living room, bathroom (bath and shower) and double bedroom. Modern well equipped fitted kitchen. Parking outside. There is a large shared outdoor swimming pool adjacent to a Cafe/bar on site. Please note the swimming pool is managed on site and there is a charge to use this. It can be paid either on a daily or weekly basis - this is paid directly on site as required. Pleasant 10 min walk past small nature reserve to Monte Gordo, which has shops, restaurants (beach & town), up market boutiques, a casino and a beautiful sandy beach. Generally less expensive, more Portuguese and more friendly than the central Algarve. Popular historical town of Tavira 20 mins away. Fine walking and biking roads. In the nearby town of Vila Real Santo Antonio (2 miles away) a ferry goes across the river Guadiana to Spain and the beautiful town of Ayamonte.

Nearby Golf Courses: Excellent golf courses within 10-20 mins drive include Monte Rei, Benamor, Castro Marim, Quinta da Ria, Quinta da Cima and across the Spanish border Isla Canela and Islantilla. Wi fi avaiable on request.

We had a flight from Moscow to Lisbon and in airport we rent a car, the trip took about 3-4 hours! Thanks to the travel company which met us when we came to the place! At first glance everything was perfectly good - clean and well-equiped, later we find out even more pluses than we expected! It took 2 min to reach the beach by car and 10-15 min walking - parking we found quite easily (everyday)! Many restaurants and shops around, also Monte Gordo very clean and calm city, and also very beautiful. Sand is perfectly good - white and soft! The water in June was very cold but even that we swim a lot and we were very happy that when water goes back on beach you can find many small puddles where children play with pleasure! Grocery store located near by - 2 min drive! Very nice pool in the apartment's center - it is for tenants and it cost not so expensive! Thanks to owner for such a good holidays and wish to everyone go there at list once! I think if we will have the possibility to go there again we definitely will do that again!

Good holiday.!

The flat has got everything necessary and it is in a very good spot. Monte Gordo just around the corner and many lovely beaches in short distance.

Enjoyable property for families with good value

We stayed 1 week in this property which is about a 13 minute walk to the centre of Monte Gordo and its beautiful beach.

The apartment is on the 2nd floor of the u-shaped building located at the end of the apartment complex with parking in front of the entrances and along the road. It is accessible by elevator, nicely furnished and equipped with a washing machine and air conditioning, very convenient for longer stays and warm nights.

We did not use the kitchen since we dined in the local restaurants and had breakfast (toast, pastries, fresh orange juice, coffee or tea) at the property's bistro which is just at the pool's entrance. It opens at 8:30 a.m. and sells bread to residents. There's a sign of a shop (grocery) but it doesn't exist anymore.

The pool area is cleaned thouroghly every morning, the water checked, and opens at 10 a.m. sharp. It's quite popular as there are no public pools by the beach.

We went to the beach every day with our 2 kids and made use of the local water activities (jet ski €30 / 15 minutes 1 or 2 persons).

Lunch at the city centre's typical bistros was quite good, varied and cost about €25 - €30 for 4.

You can drive ftom the property to the city centre but finding a free parking spot is a challenge. Alternative is the public parking by the casino/beach which costs about €1/hour). Might as well leave the car at the property and walk. Many people did so.

We arrived from Sevilla airport, a 160 km drive and found the property easily with the directions included in the arrival instructions mailed to us by the owner.

There is a local property manager whom we called to inform him of our arrival time in Monte Gordo after landing at the airport. He arranges for the cleaning person to meet us at the apartment to hand over the key. There's only one key and if you leave it inside and shut the door you lock yourself out so we were always careful.

Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and can recommend this property for a nice family vacation at a very reasonable price considering all the amenities, location and friendly owner/property who responded to our emails and calls quickly and helped us with any querries effectively.

Apartamento e zona muito tranquilos, longe da confusão e do barulho.

O apartamento é muito acolhedor e tem quase tudo o que é necessário. Só falta pelo menos um pirex para podermos fazer alguma comida no forno e uma panela média, há uma muito grande e uma muito pequena.

Os senhores Stephen e Gerald são muito atenciosos e simpáticos.

Calmo e sossegado.

Apesar de nao estar bem perto da praia, seviu de estimulo para caminhada matinal para a mesma, não que 1km seja obstaculo a um pouco de exercicio.

Qiuanto ao resto correspondeu ao esperado e desta forma ter res«ultado numa otima estadia.

Nearest Airport : Faro at 36 Miles Nearest Motorway : Monte Gordo at 2 Miles Nearest Beach : at 1200 Metres Car: not necessary

10 mins walking distance to Monte Gordo then 5 minutes walking past the shops and restaurants to the large sandy beaches.

Faro airport just over 30 mins drive. Seville airport (Spain) 1 hr 30 mins drive. Villa Real do San Antonio 2 miles. Castro Marim (ancient village and castle near Spanish border) 5 miles, Spanish border 6 miles, Ayamonte (Spain) 12 miles, Tavira 13 miles, Seville 98 miles, Faro 36 miles.

Excellent golf courses within 10-20 mins drive include Benamor, Castro Marim, Quinta da Ria, Quinta da Cima, the excellent new Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course at Monte Rei and the Seve Ballesteros designed course at Quinta do Vale. Across the Spanish border still within 15-20 minutes are Isla Canela, Islantilla and the new highly rated Costa Esuri. A little further afield are the 2 El Rompido courses and Duna
