Overview

About the property

Fantastic setting castle and sea views seconds from the beach

Ideally located and completely renovated to a high standard. Extremely light and airy in the heart of Collioure. Juliet balcony overlooking chateaux and the sea, great for people watching.

The studio is open plan with four windows giving views out to sea and across to the chateaux. It is right at the centre of old Collioure 30 seconds from the beach so easy to pop back and top up your wine! If there are festivals or live music in Collioure you are very well placed to experience them but obviously there can be noise.

A perfect place for a couple to enjoy all that Collioure has to offer.

About Sarah Jackson

We currently live in Broadway in the cotswolds and like to spend time in France whenever possible.

Sarah Jackson purchased this studio in 2011

Why Sarah Jackson chose Collioure

We fell in love with the location of this property and could see its potential when we purchased it. We have totally renovated it so that it is now a lovely light and airy space with amazing views.

What makes this studio unique

This best thing about this property apart from the decoration is its situation and views right in the heart of Collioure. You can take your own drinks down to the sea and pop back for a refill or just sit in the window and watch the world go by.

Great location in lovely Collioure

  • 4 of 5

Sarah's studio is perfectly located. We loved opening the shutters each morning to see the castle and the water, and look forward to returning when the town is in full-swing, as much of Collioure was closed down during our November visit.

The studio is nicely decorated with a sea & sand decor. The bed is comfortable and the shower, while compact, has both handheld and rain showerheads and good water pressure. Except for a microwave, the kitchen was well-equipped, and had everything we needed. We travel full-time and are dependent on having reliable internet access, so the only negative was lack of internet, as there is no dedicated service, but is pulled from the bar downstairs. It was so weak and inconsistent that it was unusable, and we ended up using our phones as hotspots when necessary. So no streaming, but the good news is that there was a DVD player and plenty of DVDs to watch for evening entertainment.

The listing was accurate in every way. The property was clean and location perfect.

Parking the car was a bit of a problem, but was definately worth it. Hope to return soon, can't wait.

Lovely Collioure

  • 5 of 5

Perfect studio in a perfect position, everything at hand, the beach, the streets and good restaurants. Ideally placed for nice walks, plenty to see. Our stay was out of season so not sure how busy it would be in July August. We would recommend to friends and would use again.

Superb studio, fantastic location.

  • 5 of 5

This is a perfect studio flat for two in the heart of Collioure. With views of the sea, the Chateau Royale, and the restaurant lined walkway down to the seafront, you feel like you're right in the middle of the action but at the same time you can observe it all from above in comfort, and dip in and out as you wish. The position of the studio is great for the beach and for the wide choice of restaurants. We didn't have a car and we didn't need one, as Collioure was such a lovely place to spend the week. There are some good walks along the cliffs and around the bay.

The studio itself is well equipped with everything your would need. We hope to return to Collioure and would not hesitate from booking this studio again.

"This was a perfect place to take a relaxing break. No car was necessary as the trains from Perpignan to Collioure were frequent and easy to arrange. The apartment was lovely, really well equipped and in an excellent position. There was so much to see and do in Collioure and we were right in the heart of it all. I will definitely be making a return visit."
