Perfect location.

We had a very enjoyable week in this apartment. Its location was perfect for us, very close to the beach and marina, but quiet and very comfortable, with all the conveniences you could need. It is a 25 minute walk into La Rochelle town or there is a very good bus service, which we also used, and a water taxi. Plenty of places to eat locally, or head into town for shops, restaurants, market, boat trips, museums etc. Only used the car for the supermarket, and a day trip Ile De Re.

Fantastic apartment

This is a fantastic apartment, light and airy and well designed with great views out to sea. We were met by Christian who had fantastic English and was very informative. You are only a few steps from a blue flag beach and there are lots of options for getting into the centre of La Rochelle - we used the Yelo hire bikes which were 50c each way and there was a cycle path all the way into town (10 mins) There is lots to do in La Rochelle and the surrounding area; we particularly enjoyed Ile de Re and Maria’s Poitevin (green Venice). I would certainly recommend

Lovely apartment with fantastic views

This is a very comfortable and spacious apartment with a fantastic view of the beach/sea from the balcony. It is very well equipped. The gentleman that met us at the apartment was very helpful and friendly (and also on check-out). There is a great bakery and restaurants about a 5 minute walk away (also a small supermarket). The 'bus de mer' is very handy from Les Minimes to the old port (2 or 3 euros each one-way), but the walk is also nice (takes about 25 minutes).

Best of both worlds

So glad we found this gem of a property, from start to finish it was the perfect holiday, from booking to leaving. Christian met us at the property & showed us round, recommended places to visit & was on hand throughout the week to answer questions & to book our taxi back to the airport. The apartment was lovely, everything we needed & in a great location. The sea bus ran every 30 minutes on time from local pick up point & cost €3 each or you get a group discount for 4 or more. Great restaurants & quiet beach, highly recommend this apartment & will be back

A great apartment in a great location.

Our flight was late on arrival, but with quick communication with Stephane the owner we were met at the apartment and shown around. The apartment was great and as described on the website. Very well located with good amenities. The beach is a stone’s throw away and there are several good quality restaurants a small supermarket and very good boulangerie. La Rochelle town centre is a 15 minute journey by sea bus, we found the sea bus to be not very reliable, so most days we walked to town which was a 20 minute stroll. We travelled in August so La Rochelle town centre was busy but still pleasant. I'd recommend La Belle de Gabut the Aquarium ,and Le parc Charruyer which has lots of activities for children and a nice beach. We visited Saint-Martin-de-Ré on Île de Ré which was about an hour by bus from the town centre, we took the last boat back in the evening. Overall lots of nice beaches, restaurants and plenty of places to see, a great visit to St Martin. On departure we were met by Christian who arranged a taxi for us. All in all a great stay and I highly recommend this apartment.
