Ticks all the boxes!

For our very first visit to Madeira in early February 2017, this self-catering accommodation ticks all the boxes! Spacious, homely and well-equipped, with a spectacular birds-eye view of Funchal, its harbour and the sea from both inside the property and outside on a wide veranda with table and chairs, enabling us to enjoy an aperitif whilst watching the sunset. Filomena, the owner, is the most charming and helpful person you could wish to meet. Highly recommended. Mike & Rita Davey

Lovely warm welcome

We were met by Filomena who was lovely and bubbly, she showed us into the villa and the first thing you see is the amazing view from the patio, it really was breath taking. Lovely little touches sets this apart from other accommodation that we have stayed in. 2 beautiful vases of Birds of Paradise in the living/dining room, fresh cut flowers in the hallway. A welcome bottle of Maderia and two tiny glasses on the dining table. Bath robes on the bed. The beds were lovely and comfortable. The patio furniture was very comfortable and the gardens were amazing. The kitchen had everything we required. We had a problem with the internet which was sorted out immediately. Just couldn't fault it, just wonderful

Outstanding Property, amazing views over Funchal

Filomena, the property and Madeira are amazing in equal measures but in their own unique way. Filomena is so friendly, cheerful and extremely helpful she made our experience of Madeira even better. The property is situated overlooking Funchal with breath taking scenery from the hills to the harbour. It is about of 10-15 minutes car drive from the centre of Funchal. I recommend a car due to the location and steep hills and lack of pathways in some areas, plus you can see more of the Island at your leisure. We cannot recommend this property enough with well thought out facilities and beautifully kept large gardens at your disposal with various seating areas and brick built outdoor BBQ and sink. We would definitely return one day and will hopefully be able to stay here again. Thank you again Filomena for your help and being such an excellent host.

"We needed somewhere to s...

"We needed somewhere to stay at very short notice when our flight home was delayed by snow at Gatwick and the owner kindly allowed us the use of this charming apartment. She could not have been more helpful. It is set high above Funchal with wonderful views across the city even from inside the living room and the the bedrooms, as well as from its own terrace that runs all along that side. The weather was chilly and we were glad to be able to light the log fire in the evening. The living room is spacious yet cosy and has comfortable seating. The whole place is fully equipped and we very much enjoyed our stay. A car is desirable as the approach roads are steep and the centre of Funchal some distance away. There is a shared garden that would be very pleasant in good weather."
