The villa is located on a hillside, overlooking the Trasimeno lake. The views are truly spectacular, particularly the sunset.The flat has two spacious and bright double bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower and "Jacuzzi", the dining room, with an open-plan kitchen and living room. Outside there's a beautiful garden, an oasis of peace. A few kilometers from the main tourist centers of Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio ideal to live in touch with nature and diving, with a few minutes drive away, in a city filled with beautiful history.

Peaceful villa with beautiful views

The property description was accurate, however, nothing prepares you for the stunning views from the beautiful garden. The villa was very peaceful, being located on a private road with very little traffic. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and well equipped. We had everything we needed including a barbecue which we always enjoy on holiday. The location was excellent and we visited many wonderful places including Perugia, Siena, Assisi, Panicale, Piediluco lake to watch a rowing regatta and many places around Lake Trasimeno including lovely Castiglione del Lago. We took a boat trip across the lake to Isola Polvese which was beautiful and peaceful. We caught a train from Terontola to Rome, which was just over a 2 hour train journey. We also visited the War Cemetery at Orvieto which was a very moving experience. The owner, Rita, was the perfect host. She made sure we had everything we needed, was always there to help but also respected our privacy which we appreciated. We spent a lovely evening with her chatting over Prosecco and lovely food. She is a delightful lady and her English was much better than our Italian! Thank you very much for allowing us to share your beautiful house. Andrew & Carolyn

"We enjoyed a lovely two ...

"We enjoyed a lovely two weeks at Lake Trasimeno in July 2012. The apartment was well equipped and spotlessly clean. The views over the Lake were stunning and we enjoyed several wonderful sunsets. The apartment is close to lots of historic towns and cities, our favourite being Cortona just 20 minutes by car. Rita was a an excellent host, there when we needed her but not intrusive."

"We have been on many sel...

"We have been on many self-catering holidays over the years, and we can hand on heart say this is the best self catering accommodation we have been in. The villa is located on a hillside, overlooking the lake of Trasimeno. The views are truly spectacular, particularly the sunset. Rita the owner lives upstairs but she has her own busy life and does not impose at all. But is available day and night for any requests. She is kind and generous and loves children. Our twins fell in love with her immediately. The house is very functional and is home from home, beautifully decorated, high standard of amenities and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The lake of Trasimeno is a wonderful place to relax and get away from it all. Local people are very friendly, and there is plenty to enjoy around the lake. You are also ideally located to visit the surrounding areas and places such as Siena, Assisi, Perugia, Cortona, even Florence isn't too far. The locals are only too happy to help with suggestions of where to go and what to see. We cannot thank Rita enough for making us feel so welcome and we wish her every success and looking forward to returning soon!"

Great location

A pleasant and comfortable house with a wonderful view on Lake Trasimeno. Perfect location to explore the villages around the lake and the landscape and cities in Umbria. The house is very clean and complete and the owner Rita is an excellent host really taking care of her guests. We will be back!
