Bazjaki: Beautiful stone villa in Istria with infinity pool

Villa Bazjaki is located on the edge of the tiny hamlet of Bazjaki, facing southwards and with uninterrupted views of the Mirna Valley and the historic town of Motovun, famed for its annual film festival. The house has been rebuilt using the original stone from the ruin found on the site when it was bought by its present owners in 2004. It has four double bedrooms, two of them en suite and will comfortably accommodate 8 people. There is a huge open living space, comprising kitchen, dining and sitting areas. The communal living areas have a beautiful stone floor and the bedroom floors are made from oak boards. The furniture is a primarily a mixture of antiques sourced from England and locally in Istria. The house has large windows and high ceilings creating a great feeling of light and space.
There is also a large terrace for open air dining and barbeque.
The house sits in over 4000 square metres of private garden with stunning views across the valley towards Motovun. There is a 9 x 4 metre infinity pool with plenty of space around the pool for sun loungers. Around the substantial lawned area are dotted huge stones taken from the original house and now acting as garden features.
There is a Bose "ipod" dock available for use.

Unforgettable.

I cannot recommend this beautiful stone Istrian home strongly enough. No photos can do it justice, it was a privilege to have the opportunity to stay there. The rooms have been lovingly and uniquely furnished but not at the expense of comfort. I have stayed in quite a few holiday homes, my son and family live in Italy and we try to meet regularly - this is the best one ever. Ages ranged from 14 - 70 and we all loved it. The pool and table football being especially popular. The location is breathtaking and it's easy to reach everywhere in Istria. We visited Kamenjak - a must for the swimmers, strolled around the little hilltop villages nearby but we could have happily spent all 4 days at Bazjaki. The countryside is the most beautiful I've seen anywhere in inland Istria. Summing up, as great as the photographs are you'll be amazed how stunning this house and location are in reality.

Ein wunderschönes Haus mit grossartigen Pool und G

Wir hatten superschöne zwei Wochen! Das Haus liegt ruhig in den Bergen mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf Motuvun. Das Haus ist total schön eingerichtet und es fehlte an nichts. Die Ausstattung (Küche, Badezimmer usw) ist genial gewesen. Für unsere Jungs stand sogar ein Kicker auf der Terrasse . Die Vermieterin war sehr sehr freundlich und hat uns immer sofort auf unsere Mails geantwortet! Nach einer Woche wurde sogar das Haus gereinigt. Der Pool war durchgehend sauber! Also alles absolut genial! Es war ein Traum für uns! Vielen Dank nochmal

Coming to Villa Bazjaki is like arriving to the house of good old friends. From the first moment you feel like beeing at home. The whole house is equipped very comfortable, and with all the things you need ... plus lots of things, you wish to have at home. The furniture is a mixture of antiques and stylish things, the crockery und the cutlery is classy, the materials of the house, the floor, the bathrooms are high-quality ... The pool, the garden, the view to Motovun is terrific ! From all the houses we rent the last couple of years, this was the most beautiful !!

Everything we thought it would be!

We have stayed in a number of wonderful places in Istria over the years, but Villa Bazjaki is our favorite. The Villa is spacious, beautiful, comfortable, clean, easy to access with plenty of space to park. The pool and the view are unbelievable and the location is close to many of our favorite restaurants in Motovun, Livada and Vizinada; if you must leave! After a long trip from the U.S., Villa Bazjaki was a wonderful place to rest, get over jet lag and explore the heart of central Istria. Our kids loved it and if they are happy we are happy! Tamara and Bruce were the perfect hosts, incredibly helpful and at every step of the way, made reserving their home for our vacation easy and efficient. I would like to think Villa Bazjaki is our little secret but I would recommend it highly to anyone interested in this beautiful part of Istria and Croatia. puno vam Hvala, Obiltelj Zupcic

Beautiful house with stunning views

We booked the house for two families, totalling nine people (4 adults and 5 children). Tamara had been very helpful from the off, and the house was exactly as descibed. Extremely well equipped, with especially good air conditioned bedrooms. The pool was a joy and had stunning views of Motovun (a great place to visit) across the valley. We celebrated a birthday whilst we were there, and Tamara organised a fantastic meal and cake, cooked by the neighbours. We highly recommend having this traditional meal if you rent the house. In the beautiful surroundings of the property, it is a special experience. We would advise having a car, as there is so much to see in the area, and the coast is close by. It is also a lovely place to run and cycle. All in all, highly recommended, with fantastic support from the owner Tamara. Many thanks for a fantastic stay.
