Breathtaking views!

  • 4 of 5

The villa was spacious with a bedroom and bath on opposite sides of the apartment. The view from the balcony was simply breathtaking. Quiet and peaceful. We were greeted and instantly felt welcomed. The hosts gave us suggestions on places to eat and visit. The wifi was spotty one night but they came to fix it within 20 minutes. We had to park on the street but fortunately we visited during the off season. We would recommend bellavista to others!

Great location, awesome views

  • 4 of 5

We were met at the house by Andrea (dad), Giuliana (mom) and Antonia (daughter) who live below the apartment. They brought some local pastries and home made jam as welcome gifts and were quite accommodating at our arrival. Antonia is the only one who speaks English and gave us the tour of the house and highlighted things to see and do in the area. The house is functional, well kept and located just outside Furore, having easy accessibility to Positano, Amalfi, Ravello and Atrani. The area is somewhat quite, other than being right on the main road that connects most of the towns. If you're driving in, the parking is on the road, in front of the house, which can cause some tension with the narrow road and passing cars and buses; but we had no issues, just need to retract your mirror. There's a great pizzeria and mini grocery a short distance from the house (walking distance), as well as a terrific wine bar/restaurant (highly recommended)and another grocer down the road in town (driving distance). The only issues we had was spotty wifi, which didn't occur until our second day. I had to call Antonia twice and they were quick to respond and correct (something about incoming phone calls to their house would knock wifi out). We spent 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful apartment with magic views away from the tourist crowds

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week, together with another couple (all over 60), in this beautiful apartment, 15 minutes drive from Amalfi. It was always a joy, returning to the peaceful surroundings after sightseeing. The terrace was big, with beautiful views up and down the coast. The apartment had everything we needed, is tastefully furnished and very comfy. Giuliana greeted us with a homemade pie and we spent an evening with the family who invited us to a pizza. The family was very helpful, with the son translating. Andrea, the husband gave us a lift down to Amalfi to catch the first boat to Capri. We had a car and street parking outside the house was no problem. We walked the "Sentieri deli dei" a must, we spend a lot of time in peaceful Bomerano, having coffees, visited Ravello, Amalfi, Capri, all within easy reach. We recommend taking the bus in front of the house for going anywhere along the coast because of the narrow, hair raising streets and steep parking fees. The drivers are incredibly patient and accommodating and we were in awe of the bus drivers, negotiating very tight situations. We highly recommend this beautiful place for a relaxing holiday, away from the maddening crowds, yet within easy reach of all the popular sights along the Amalfi coast. Thank you Giuliana, Andrea and Mario for your hospitality and kindness.

Excellent property with breathtaking views

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a wonderful holiday at casa Bellavista which was well equipped with all that we needed. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with the highlight being the balcony which offers amazing views of the sea. The owners warmly welcomed us, giving us lots of advice on the local area and giving us homemade pudding as a welcome gift and wine on our final evening! These were very generous touches which we appreciated. A car is a must here really, and this is a perfect base to visit all the local attractions from. There is a bus which stops right outside which takes you to Amalfi. This is useful as parking can be tricky and expensive there. We loved Casa Bellavista and would highly recommend it.

Owners made us feel like family! :)

  • 5 of 5

The owners of Casa Bellavista welcomed us like family with the entire family of 4 gathered around our arrival with a delicious homemade cake made by Guiliana to celebrate our daughter and boyfriend's graduation (with honors) from university! What a wonderful surprise!! The parents don't speak a lot of English (we speak no Italian), but, we could communicate and their college aged son, Mario, and daughter, Antonia, were able to help us figure out everything we needed. The Dad, Andrea, even took us on a personal tour of the area after our arrival showing us the fjord, the monastery where they make cheese and the town of Amalfi where the beautiful St Andrea cathedral is! :) It also was comforting to be met at our train in Naples for the 1 hour 20 minute ride to the house (140E Roundtrip as they returned us the the train station when we left). We especially loved sitting on the balcony to enjoy the spectacular views of the Mediterranean. The house had everything we needed (2B/2B, kitchen, some condiments, washer, laundry soap etc). The living room furniture was very comfortable as well. The wifi worked only in the living room, but, that was not a problem. We did not have a car and the family graciously took us everywhere we needed to go (to Amalfi to catch the ferry to Capri-a trip not to be missed!); to the grocery store (but there is one within walking distance too), out to dinner and we paid (150E) for Mario to drive us to and from Pompeii and Vesuvius. We loved our stay here! Thank you Guiliana, Andrea, Mario and Antonia! :)

Beautiful apartment!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this apartment and found Guiliana and her family to be very warm and accommodating. As 2 couples, the layout was perfect. The bedrooms were on opposite sides and each had its own full bath. As all of the other have mentioned, the terrace was spectacular and the views were fabulous. We had coffee and breakfast on the terrace each morning and then wine in the evenings. Guiliana made us a lemon pie from her own lemons and then presented us with a bottle of Lemoncello on our last night. There was a small grocery store and 2 restaurants within walking distance. Just perfect. We had a car and used it to travel the coast and do some great hiking too. We highly recommend this place to everyone. One note of warning, we had a little trouble finding the place so be sure you have specific directions and phone numbers.
