Not for emotionally intelligent, European educated and experienced travelers. Old Soviet regime.

The check in process was terrible. The "manager" - aunt of the listing persona- was pretty rude, doubtful of our reservation, doubtful of our pay to the host of this listing. We were told that we might need to pay extra for the use of the water as we had a family of 3 ( one less person than the apartment can accommodate) In reality, this place can comfortably accommodate only 2 people. The inside of the microwave was horrendously dirty! The " manager"asked for, took pictures of and refused to delete, even upon our departure, my personal information obtained from the passport and driver's license. The "manager" also refused us a written WiFi password for 2 days - we couldn't operate a WiFi dependent medical equipment- it was horrible! The listing persona attempted several times to communicate outside the listing platform- VRBO. The location of the property is extremely far from it's described location on Vrbo. It is not in the center of Minsk- instead located in Sovetski district on Miroshnichenko street. Interestingly enough, the location is not disclosed ahead of time by the listing persona, but is given a few days after your non- refundable payment goes through. When the issue with listing location was mentioned to the listing persona - her response was it wasn't them but VRBO who decided to list it incorrectly. We saw it as a discrete and dishonest way to maximize on rental opportunities. The neighborhood is full of drunk Russian speaking men, especially on summer evenings, who use the nearby water reservoir as a hang out grounds. Be prepared to clean the toilet before departure, as the very generous cleaning fee you pay for this listing apparently can't cover this service. Also, the one and only, very general review you see, is a result of my mentioning that there were no reviews for this property. In fact I had to call VRBO to make sure this place was legit. A very poorly ran operation, don't be fooled- stay away and avoid unpleasantness during your visit to Minsk.
