About this property

Old stone house restored in a traditional way (roof in lauzes, 2 big old fireplaces...) with ecological materials (hemp, cork, chestnut wood floors...) isolated situation, access by track of 800 m from the village. The rooms are bright and spacious.
Breathtaking view of the Ardèche Cévennes, absolute calm. A basin of spring water below the gîte offers coolness during the hot summer hours.

Strictly 7 people, we do not accept extra people. Ideal family.

- During heating periods we charge for electricity consumption (wood stove in the kitchen and wood stove in the living room -wood provided

Rustic get away

The house was very old and had many lovely original features which added to its charm. The location was quiet set amongst wooded landscape providing a perfect get away for those escaping the hustle and bustle of a busy life. There were some negatives to the property though - it needed to be kept in better order with a thorough clean to remove dust, cobwebs and dirt which was clearly visible all around the house. Also, the kitchen for those who wanted to cook was problematic as it provided a very poor range of cooking equipment. A battered range of saucepans with odd fitting lids had clearly seen better days - burnt black pan insides and broken saucepan lid handle replaced by a piece of string. Some adjustments to this property would certainly be beneficial.

Un séjour très agréable dans une maison pleine de charme

La maison est parfaitement conforme à l'annonce. Seul bémol, un escalier un peu rude pour accéder à l'entrée de la maison face à la terrasse et monter les bagages et les courses. Nous avons souffert des moustiques durant le séjour (c'était la période) mais les diffuseurs d'anti-moustique nous ont permis de gérer ce problème. La maison est très agréable et décorée avec goût. La cuisine n'est pas super pratique mais la encore avec un eu d'organisation on s'en sort. La vue de la terrasse est ouverte à perte de vue et le ciel nocturne magnifique ! La proximité avec Les Vans pour les courses est correcte et il y a beaucoup de choses à visiter dans la région. Je me suis même baignée dans le bassin naturel pendant la canicule et nous avons sillonné à vélo les alentours. Je recommande cette maison ! Merci à nos hôtes et à Charlotte.
