Comfortable and convenient - Highly recommended
Roland's apartment was just perfect for our trip to Marseille.
Easy to access using public transport from the airport, and Roland was there to meet us as arranged and was even able to provide early access as the apartment was ready and vacant.
It is very close to the Vieux Port which was lovely, and the view from the small balcony at the front was glorious. We enjoyed watching the sunset over the boats in the port.
The terrace at the rear was certainly a great bonus. Warm in the October sunshine and we enjoyed the opportunity to take breakfast outside.
A boulangerie just across the road was perfect for the morning croissant run!
Although the apartment is quite close to the busy port, we experienced little noise being up on the 6th floor.
The bed was most comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water, and kitchen utensils, although we didn't do much cooking in, prefering instead to visit some of the many places to eat in the locality.
WiFi was efficient, and a washing machine and dishwasher added to the comforts.
Marseille itself kept us entertained for the whole week. We made use of a three day pass on the public transport, and additionally the Marseille Pass which gave us a further three days using the transport, plus access to museums, the tourist train and the ColourBus. (We would have liked to visit Chateau d'If but the queues for the boat even in October were long).
If we were to return to Marseille we would definitely choose this apartment again and wholeheartedly recommend it.
