Our villa, brand new as it was built in the year 2000, is immersed in a splendid natural setting in a residential area, with a private swimming pool measuring 11x3.5 metres for exclusive use.
Attention to every detail, it is furnished in modern style with the characteristic presence of fine antique furniture.
Located in Avola Antica, a low hill on the Iblei mountains overlooking the sea.
Avola is considered the pearl of the Ionian Sea for its fine sandy beaches and extraordinarily clean crystal-clear sea.
Cava Grande, a nature reserve since 1984 located just 2 km from the villa, represents the most spectacular scenery of the Iblei mountains, where the crystal-clear Cassibile River, the Ancient Cacyparis, flows, forming 'little lakes' called Nache. And it is in this unique location that our villa was built, with taste and love for nature.
It will become the place you will carry in your heart forever as it will meet all your holiday expectations in total safety as it is CONSTANTLY SANITIZED WITH CERTIFICATION before the arrival of each guest.
1000 square metres of well-kept garden, with palm trees, centuries-old olive trees, succulent plants and flowers of all kinds, will allow you to regenerate while enjoying absolute privacy in total relaxation and without the stress of social distancing.
You will feel suspended between sky and sea, in a splendid natural setting.
Strategic position, breathtaking views, thanks to the fact that it is one of the few facilities with a spectacular view over the sea of Avola, from where you can also observe the extreme tip of Sicily, the lighthouse of Capo Passero.

3 double bedrooms, 3 complete bathrooms with hydromassage shower, kitchen with electric oven, microwave oven and dishwasher, living room with 2 sofas, camping cots for your children.
The whole house has an autonomous air-conditioning system with latest-generation, low-consumption inverter air-conditioners.
Water and gas consumption are included in the price. Linen (towels, sheets and kitchen cloths) is also included in the price. Electricity is free up to a consumption of KW 100 per week, which is generally not exceeded if you take care to turn off the air conditioners when you are away from home. The difference (calculated with a special meter .) will be charged at the current market price.

A visitor's tax of € 1.50 per person per day is payable, excluding children under the age of 12. The tourist tax is only payable for the first week of stay.

Lovely view and a comfortable house.

We enjoyed our stay in the area. Lots of beautiful countryside and the sea in the distance. the house was great for two couples. You should be aware that a car is essential as there is nothing within walking distance. The coast is 10km down hairpin bends, hence the view! Avola and the surrounding area is lovely, much to see and many beautiful towns and villages. The need to get in the car everytime is a disadvantage, especially in the evenings.

Not as we expected.

The location of the property is high up a mountain with hair-pin bends with no street lighting, even as an experienced driver this was quite treacherous, however the views were spectacular. There was additional charges once we arrive which was personal taxes. There was no mention prior to arrival that you could not put toilet paper in the toilet, the smell of drains in the bathrooms was overpowering. There was lights not working, we changed the bulb ourselves in the kitchen to find it was the fitting not the bulb. The back bathroom had the plug in the sink not working and had to use a knife to lift it to drain the water, the window would not close and we had to call the owner in to close it. There are lots of wires in extension leads, which is not good if you have children. The kettle and toaster again was in an extension lead and both had to be turned off manually as they did not automatically turn off. We had some storms, which we then had leaks in the roof, one of the beds had to be moved as the mattress was getting very wet, the owner came when we told him and he put bowls out to catch the water, he was quiet apologetic when he saw the leaks. Also the windows in the lounge was very drafty and let in water when it rained. The owner lives directly opposite with access through a door next to the pool, they seem to enter the property without your knowledge as we found light on when we returned in the evening, and windows open. You do have to pay extra for any electric used during your stay. Be aware that there are feral cats around the property, so you are unable to leave doors or windows open. The owner also expects you to recycle rubbish, but to also put different bins out daily for the collection, I have NEVER had to put any rubbish out at any property I have rented especially when paying a cleaning fee. I am not sure what the cleaning fee is for, as we went to use the coffee maker and it had stale coffee still in the filter, therefore would not use it. Unfortunately, had I had seen this kind of review, I would not have entertained this property.

Lovely villa in a great location.

We had a fantastic holiday here, the villa was lovely and very well equipped with air conditioning in each room. The swimming pool was perfect for our three children aged 10, 8 & 3. This has been the first holiday we could truly relax with the children by a swimming pool. The villa is in a great location with Avola only 15mins drive away. It had a lovely beach (Pantanello) and it was here we spent our time when not by the pool as we were very lucky with the weather! In Avola there is plenty of choice for eating out in the evenings and a couple of supermarkets. The owner and his family were very helpful and when we arrived in Sicily they met us in Avola, showed us to a supermarket & waited for us to do our shopping before we followed them up the mountain to the villa. I would definitely recommend this villa and location and we will certainly be returning!
