Guests are welcome to go anywhere in the extensive grounds.The approach to the cottages is down a path beside the main house. On arrival guests are welcome to park nearer the house for unloading but on a daily basis, guests are requested to use the parking bays off the driveway.Local produce can be purchased from a local farm shop. Also Waitrose in Holsworthy will deliver.There are also a number of great eating places locally for fine dining as well as scrumptious cream teas.

A haven of tranquility

I cannot recommend Tamar Valley Cottages highly enough. Such a peaceful place, with gorgeous views, and the only sound bird song. The cottages are furnished in such good taste, the kitchens beautifully equipped, immaculate bathrooms with first class shower, etc. Very comfortable beds, with top hotel- quality bedding. The extra touch of beautiful vases of flowers in all the rooms, wine, milk and even scones and cream were very welcome. This would be a wonderful place to come and rent all the cottages with friends and/or family. However, plenty of privacy if you rent just one cottage. Large and beautiful gardens to wander in and sit and relax, and host David so keen to ensure his guests are happy and comfortable.

Lovely cottage, relaxing stay

Right from the start, David was quick responding to emails, and extremely accommodating. He very kindly gave us a larger cottage, which was spotless, and beautifully presented. Fresh flowers in every room and a scrumptious welcome treat greeted us. Wonderfully equipped, and all the extras were considered, like dishwasher tabs, cling film, foil etc. The gardens were lovely and our dog loved running around the large outdoor spaces. The place is very relaxing and quiet however its about 5miles to the nearest town. I would highly recommend this place, and would definitely return again.

A fantastic place to stay nothing was too much trouble and David was the perfect host. The location was so nice, the grounds and views were ideal for a quiet peaceful break. Flowers in the cottage a really nice gesture. We hope to return next year, thank you,

Luxury cottage

The cottage is high quality and luxurious! Absolutely perfect and bigger than it looked, the photos do not do it justice. The flowers to welcome us made my day and the cream tea made my husband’s! There is plenty of space for walking about with children, dogs or quietly alone. The views are beautiful. In the utility room there are heaps of outdoor games, washers/dryers and freezers. You can’t hear other people in their cottages at all which surprised us. David is very helpful and friendly, we couldn’t have asked for more! We didn’t want to go home.
