Conifer cottage is a warm,spacious well equipped comfortable home, on the outskirts of a peaceful village just 8 miles from Edinburgh. It has a very large kitchen/ diner with an aga, electric cooker, dishwasher and microwave. A utility room with washing machine and tumble drier. Large sitting room with open fire ,wi fi , satellite TV and CD player with large patio doors opening to the enclosed garden and patio area.

About Lynda Addis

My husband Paul and I are retired and live on the west coast of Scotland. We enjoy sailing, riding and walking our border collie .

I grew up in the Home Counties just outside London, Paul spent his childhood and was educated in Edinburgh.

My children are in Kent, Luxembourg and Reading, hence we do much travelling . We enjoy entertaining and meeting new people and their families and pets .

Why Lynda Addis chose Cousland

Conifer cottage belonged to my parents, they relocated here from London when they retired. The peaceful and friendly village with its proximity to Edinburgh proved the perfect location . Quiet nights, with culture and every possible recreation within a short distance.

Cousland village is a thriving,fun community with many social activities taking place in the village hall within walking distance of Conifer Cottage. There are far reaching views of the sea and surrounding countryside from the garden, with country walks immediately outside the cottage. The village has a play park with swings etc for children and stunning views of Edinburgh and the Lothians .

Couldn't have been better...

This cottage is just perfect...

The kitchen is large, full of everything you need to cook, from Aga (in love with this wonderful thing...) to microwave oven, whether you love to cook or prefer just to heat a pizza. There was food for us to use in the fridge and the cupboards (many thanks for all that, Lynda and Paul !). The 2 sinks are so useful...Nice view to the nice garden. Useful and clean utility room (happiness is a hot & fluffy towel after your shower).

Large sitting room, plenty of place to sit and Watch TV or to surf on internet.

The twin room is comfy and cosy. Beautiful bathrooms.

And the master bedroom with the bathroom en-suite is just perfect...I fell in love (again) with the huuuuuuge bed and the so gorgeous duvet...(you are Lucky, Lynda and Paul, our car is too small to take the bed and duvet with us...LOL)

This cottage is just perfect, clean, cosy, better than home to home, so close to Edinburgh, shops in Dalkeith or Musselburgh...

Lynda and Paul were very nice when we saw them, so were the nice neighbours Joy and Jeff !

Very calm street, peaceful village, great location near town and country and seaside...

It's a pity I can only give 5 stars...10 would be better.

This is the best place to stay in this area !

Spacious, clean, well equipped, peaceful, comfortable, kind and considerate owner

We needed a base for the week for our daughters wedding with extra guests for part or the time. The kitchen was large and very well equipped, my husband and our daughter practiced walking down the aisle in there! The garden was beautiful and sheltered, we ate and sewed out there in the sun. Also had photos out there. Bathrooms both lovely. Owner placed extra bed in for our extra guest night before wedding. Master bedroom large with enormous bed and en suite. We were able to dress the bride and straighten out the full length of her dress in there. It was a lovely peaceful place to stay even during the chaos of a wedding. The surrounding area is very picturesque and we had a relaxing walk round Carberry Tower gardens and woodlands just down the road. There was plenty of parking also. We had three, sometimes four cars there.

Sehr gemütliches und großes "Reihenendhaus" mit allem, was man braucht. Persönlich eingerichtet. Perfekt für 2 Paare. Bis Edinburgh etwa 25-30 min, Auto erforderlich.
