2 bed, ground floor apartment, close to beach.

A newly refurbished and fully furnished 2 bedroom ground floor apartment close to shops and Tankerton Slopes. Ideally located to enjoy the relaxation of Tankerton and the pebble beach, or the hustle and bustle of Whitstable, a 15 minute stroll along the seafront. The main bedroom has a king size bed, the second bedroom is smaller and has a double bed. Bathroom with bath and shower and a newly fitted kitchen. The living and dining area are light and airy. The back garden has pebbles and decking, ideal to sit back and relax with a glass of wine or a book. There is a garage at the end with parking space directly behind. Tankerton shops are practically on your doorstep, including a butchers, bakers, pet shop, wine merchants, restaurants, take aways, coffee shops and a micro brewery 'The Tankerton Arms'. There is also a Tesco local for all the essentials. Tankerton slopes and the sea are a 2 minute walk around the corner or through the access road at the bottom of the garden.

Vibrant Whitstable is a 20 minute stroll along the seafront (10 minutes to the Hotel Continental), with it's harbour and local independent shops. Bus stops directly outside the property for those who can't or don't want to walk into Whitstable or for a trip into Canterbury or Herne Bay. Cycle all the way along the seafront to Herne Bay or take the Crab & Winkle line into Canterbury.

Water sports, in particular wind surfing, are very popular and suited to the coastline because of shallow water and windy conditions. Tennis courts are nearby and a local gym a few minutes walk. Chestfield golf club is a 5 minute drive away. 18th-century Whitstable Castle is nearby with beautiful grounds and a fantastic play area. The tea rooms serve food and drink including mouth watering cakes and cream teas!! Whitstable has a swimming pool and bowling alley.

Various festivals take place in Whitstable through the summer including the famous Oyster Festival usually held in the last week of July. Events are held on Tankerton Slopes through the summer months including classic cars, fun fairs and an open air cinema.

Services in the apartment include: WiFi, cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, washing machine, ironing board, iron, TV, DVD player, hairdryer, linen and towels.

Guests are able to bring a small/medium dog at an additional charge of £20.00. We ask that dogs do not go into the bedrooms, these areas need to be kept pet free for any guests who may have allergies. Please bring a cover to put over the sofa if you think your dog might make him or herself comfy overnight. No smoking is allowed in the apartment.

Lovely apartment - great location!

We loved staying at Suzanne's apartment for 3 nights in July. The flat, located on Tankerton High street, is within seconds of several cafes, bars and restaurants and a very quick walk to the seafront. Whitstable is only a 15 mins walk away - we hardly drove the whole time we were there! The decor is "beached themed" and cosy. Everything was spotless and clean and the beds were particularly comfy. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location and lovely property

Lovely property to stay in for easy access to Whitstable, Tankerton, and surrounding areas. The owner, Sue, was extremely helpful and made sure we were looked after. Dog friendly which is great too.

The property is ideally located for local amenities, Tesco, restaurants, and Tankerton beach. Whitstable is a short walk along the beach west and Herne Bay is a short walk in the other direction.

Would definitely use again.

Lovely beach themed apartment in a great location

Enjoyed a short break in this immaculate apartment. Close to the beach, short walk into Whitstable centre and excellent public transport. The apartment was very clean with very comfortable beds and well equipped for our stay. Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful property in a superb location

We had a wonderful stay at the Bayside apartment. The apartment itself is spacious and bright and has everything you could need for your stay. The location in Tankerton is ideal, the beach it just at the end of the street and it's a short walk to Whitstable. The beach is also dog friendly all year which is a real bonus in the summer. We had a great stay, thank you!

Local Information: Tankerton

Places to Eat & Drink:

East Coast Dining (01227 281 180): 3 minutes from the apartment down the High Street. Excellent food at reasonable prices.

The Royal (01227 272 008): Excellent pub food and friendly staff. Best to book in advance, especially for Sunday Lunch. Tables outside and a sea view. Turn left out of the apartment the Royal is first left.

JoJo’s Meze, Meat & Fish (01227 274 591): Regularly mentioned in the Sunday supplements in top 50 restaurants to visit. Tables can be reserved up to two weeks in advance only. Turn left out of the apartment, first left then right, about 5 mins walk along the seafront and you’ll see it on the corner. Cash and cheques only.

Ossie’s Fish Bar (01227 772 481): Sit down and take away. Turn left out of the apartment, 3 mins walk.

Mucini Italian Restaurant (01227 277 726): Family run, friendly and good Italian food. Turn left out of the apartment, 3 mins walk.

The Marine Hotel: Food and a lounge bar, tables out the front for a sea view.

The Wine Room – Henry’s: An independent wine merchant selling wines and beers. Try the wines there, corkage charged, and tasty nibbles. A must if you like your wines. Turn right out of the Apartment and Henry’s is at the bottom of the High Street on the left.

The Tankerton Arms: Microbrewery just a few minutes along the High Street selling local ales as well as wine and prosecco. Very friendly and you’ll always end up chatting to someone!

Whitstable Castle: Has a lovely café and tea room, hot food is served as well as sandwiches. Turn right out of the apartment, right again and left, passed the Marine Hotel and up the slope. A 10 minute stroll.

Take Aways in the High Street Include: Chinese, Indian, Pizza, Fish & Chips and Kebab. All information and contact numbers in the take away section.


Whitstable Castle: Excellent play area for children.

Whitstable: Swimming pool and bowling alley just as you come into Whitstable from Tankerton.

Skateboard park: Go down to the seafront and turn right, you’ll find the park just before Long Rock nature reserve.
