About the property

1 Bedroom, modern, fully equipped for self-catering, top floor, mountain views

Facing west and with amazing panoramic mountain views from all windows and balconies, the top floor apartment is situated beside the Rila hotel, 100 metres from the ski lifts and 200 metres from the gondola. It is within easy walking distance of shops, cafes, restaurants and ski hire.

The apartment has a wide entrance hall, a bedroom that could comfortably take two double beds, but which has two twin beds and an adult bunk bed together with a wardrobe, chest of draws and shelving . The living area is the size of a large studio apartment and includes a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The living space which includes a four seat sofa that can convert into a double bed. The bathroom contains a shower, lavatory and basin and plenty of towel rails and shelving. All rooms are luxuriously and comfortably appointed.

Bulgaria is a very safe country and Borovets is resort situated within a National Park, there are tremendous unspoilt views of mountains, unspoilt ancient forests, meadows and flora. There is also an abundance of wildlife in this unique habitat and there is much to be discovered touring, walking and hiking outside of the ski season at a very reasonable cost.

The kitchen is well appointed and contains a washing machine, hob, microwave with grill and a fridge and will comfortably cater for up to 6 people.

Borovets is situated in Bulgaria’s highest mountain range, and dates back to a royal hunting lodge of the mid 19th century. It is surrounded by a National Park, and is an all year round resort with many activities available including: skiing, mountain biking, horse riding, trekking, fishing and swimming. It is approximately 73 kilometres (1 hour 15 minutes) from Sofia airport.

Why The Owner chose Borovets

I bought the apartment in 2013, after enjoying ski holidays in Borovets since 2010.

I have enjoyed the beautiful scenery at Borovets and found that the cost of learning and enjoying skiing is very reasonable here. I was also pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the food (and cheap). It seems to be a fusion of Greek and Turkish dishes.

Situated within a National Park there are also great touring and hiking opportunities outside of the ski season. Samokov is an interesting small town 9 km away with good shops cafes and activities for all the family.

What makes this apartment unique

Firstly I liked the design of apartment block, it has an alpine style, not just on the outside but also within. I believe that it fits beautifully into the environment.

The panoramic views of the Rila mountains from the windows and balconies are a delight to wake up to and are constantly changing throughout the day. It is an enjoyable place to relax and unwind and the mountain air is renouned for being very pure.

In the morning I like the way that the mist and the light is constantly changing on the mountain trees. In the afternoon and evening the balcony is a warm place to watch the sun setting.

Inside the apartment the triangular windows and the angles of the cielings give the apartment real character and atmosphere.

For comfort the apartment has the latest kitchen and bathroom appliances and the gas central heating always keeping it warm and cosy.

Great Apartment in a Fantastic Location

Brilliant apartment in a perfect location. Literally 100 meters from the slopes but without the noise or hassle of the main street. There's a lift directly outside the door so its super easy to get around. Tristan is quick to reply with any questions and very supportive. It was a pleasure to stay there. I've been to other apartments at the bottom of the hill and can say for sure that the this location -- nearly in the middle between the chair/button lifts and the gondola -- is simply the best.

Lovely property very well located.

We stayed here over Christmas 2016,we had a wonderful time plenty of snow. The apartment was in a great location virtually on the main street with lovely views. Its modern and well equipped and was kept regularly cleaned. Spacious and comfortable for a Bulgarian built apartment. Its on the fourth floor with a lift right out side the apartment door.We would recommend both the apartment and the owner (who is based in Britain) and is very nice. A quick note the deposit on arrival is £200 or 400ish lev refundable straight away on departure no problem. We recommend you pay this in pounds as get it back in pounds as its costs you a fair bit to get any spare levs you don't use changed back into pounds.

Situated 9 km from Borovets is the historic town of Samokov. As well as having mueums and architecture well worth visiting there are supermarkets and wide choice of Bulgarian cafes and restaurants.
