We have just come back from a week in the farmhouse with 3 generations of family. The garden is amazing and full of places for kids to explore. There's loads of room and it's close to all the good beaches etc. Great place

Lovely house in ideal location

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying in this beautiful farmhouse with its lovely large garden.. we all enjoyed playing table tennis and it was wonderful to have the new trampoline. The farmhouse was spacious and really well equipped with everything we could have wanted. Our two small grandchildren has lots of fun with the dressing up box and really enjoyed exploring the garden.

Victoria and Fergus were perfect hosts who made sure everything was perfect for us.

We would love to return another time and would highly recommend this house for a large family gathering.

Owner's Response: We are delighted your holiday was such a success and that the trampoline and table tennis were popular. The garden really comes into its own in the summer and our children have always loved it too.

Lovely house, beautiful setting, helpful hosts

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here in August with 2 other families - so 3 couples and 6 kids in total. There was more than enough space for everyone to relax without feeling on top of each other, the kids had the freedom to explore the huge garden without parental surveillance because the house is so far from the road and we enjoyed some fabulous evening meals at the big kitchen table. We had lovely weather and there is plenty to do in the surrounding area to keep everyone entertained. We couldn't recommend it highly enough. Thank you Victoria and Fergus.

Family Holiday 2017

  • 4 of 5

This was an ideal property and location for our annual family holiday - 4 families, 7 adults and 5 children aged 4 - 7. We found the house spacious and homely, ideal for all the children to play. They really enjoyed the dressing up box. Being a drinking family we would have preferred larger wine glasses and some pint beer glasses!

Despite the very changeable weather the garden was great for games and children's activities. Further afield we enjoyed trips to West Bay, Dorchester, Weymouth, Charmouth, Seatown, Lyme Regis and the Bovington Tank Museum. Fossil hunting was popular as was the walk that 6 of us did from the house to the beach at Seatown. Grandma & Grandad also enjoyed coffee at the Wishingpool Farm Shop and if the weather had been better we would have all enjoyed the view and facilities there.

Owner's Response: I'm so glad you had a happy holiday and the house was ideal for you. Despite the weather, the fire pit and the table tennis table have been well used this summer and we have now added a 12-foot trampoline as well. I'm glad the dressing up box was a success. Thanks for the tip about the glasses.

Beautiful cosy house, great space inside & out

  • 5 of 5

We had a brilliant time over Christmas - absolutely loved the house, really spacious, comfortable and cosy it worked perfectly for our 3-generation family group. Having farmed for many years, it was great to be surrounded by beautiful countryside, have sheep in the field, cook on an Aga and enjoy a real fire in the evenings again. We had fun playing table tennis (watched by the cat!) The bird feeders outside the kitchen window provided much entertainment and we also loved Victoria's paintings. Would definitely like to stay again.
