An amazing property in a lovely location. We were greeted by the lovely owner Jan and we even had supplies when we arrived so we could have coffee/tea straight away. The property is immaculate and everything is catered for. It was extremely homely and very well looked after. We would certainly like to return in the future. We're so pleased we found this little treasure.

  • 5 of 5

Stayed for a weekend with the family. We loved the little house, my boys want to go back and stay again.

Jan's touch of leaving you some essentials, bread, butter, milk, eggs was very generous and helpful.

The house was very clean, well equipped and very warm.

Would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you Jan.

First impressions were that it was just as it looked on line , but it was much more spacious than we imagined, a very comfortable and clean house , which made an excellent base for our two day stay in Weston .

A welcome pack was provided of bread ,butter marmalade and eggs and milk with coffee and tea provided was very nice, and meant we didn't have to rush out to shop for breakfast the next day . many thanks Jan - an excellent choice for anyone thinking of doing the same as us - Helen

Magical

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable, thought of everything home from home. I wish I could live there forever ! Jaan provided us with bread and eggs and marmalade and butter and milk and tea and cookies!

The bathroom is a little small and on the ground floor - bit of a trek for nighttime visits ! But the whole place is so well done, that it's very forgiveable and Jaan is just lovely.

Many thanks Jaan for making us comfortable and I will be in touch : )

6 night stay over Christmas 2017

  • 5 of 5

Comfortable, warm, clean and very well equipped accommodation across the road from a park and a short walk to the beach (too cold to swim in the sea!!). Lovely to be greeted with a Christmas card and some provisions. Newly rejuvenated promenade to the pier and the main shops in the middle of town. We enjoyed an evening meal at the Cucina Italiana in Uphill and a scenic drive over the Mendips and back through Cheddar Gorge. Highly recommended.

Fabulous apartment

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a perfect stay at this very comfortable and clean apartment. We enjoyed the quiet location opposite the park and managed very well without a car.

A pleasant surprise to find goodies for breakfast and biscuits!

I researched in depth where to stay in Weston and would not hesitate to return. Jan, the owner was easy to contact when we had any queries and it was a lovely relaxing time.

Golf at Weston-Super-Mare Golf Club is available a short walk from the Little House and the best end of the beach is just across the road if you just want to watch the world go by or you could hop aboard the little promenade train which offers a leisurely way to explore the seafront.

A year round destination Weston offers the arts, theatre, history and adventure. The vast beach with its golden sand offers the traditional donkey rides throughout the main season, a favourite with children for generations. Along the seafront there is the newly refurbished Grand Pier offering a unique view of the coast and providing superb rainy day entertainment for all the family. Weston SeaQuarium, a sea life centre with cafe also provides a great morning or afternoon out.

Other Weston attractions include two theatres The Blakehay and The Playhouse, both offering various musical and cultural arts and performances with many well know acts taking to the stage. Weston's Golf Club is always a favourite as is the UK's biggest helicopter museum.

For those who like walking there are an amazing array of parks and gardens and a host of superb walks including the West Mendip Way, and many National Trust locations like Brean Down, Sand Point and Middle Hope.

Sand Bay - Only a five minute walk away is the open top bus that takes you to the unspoilt Sand Bay here you will find lovely beach walks and for the more adventurous an outstanding walk along the headland to Sand Point and Middle Hope. Sand Bay Tea rooms is to be recommended for a refreshing cuppa and a slice of cake after all that exercise and sea air! The New Castle Cafe is also recommended.

Uphill Nature Reserve - South of the Village of Uphill and only 10 minutes from the Little House you can enjoy nature and wildlife in this coastal site of specific scientific interest which is dominated by the ancient Uphill Church which is set on the hill above the reserve and presents a steep climb for those keen to see the extensive views. Wells Cathedral and the Bishop's Palace at Wells are well worth a visit in Britain's smallest city. The medieval square hosts a street market every Wednesday and Saturday morning where you will find tempting food and goods to buy and pavement cafe's where you can enjoy a coffee or a bowl of homemade soup. In the market there is usually a man selling homemade sausages and he has the largest frying pan I have ever seen where he cooks and serves his creations offering them for sale with soft white bread and onions, delicious!!
