Manorbier Popular Village with Post Office, Nisa Store, Cafe, Pub, Good Surfing

Carew cottage is part of a Victorian terrace of four, in the heart of Manorbier, 5 miles west of Tenby. The property sleeps 8, 1 double, 3 twins 1 with ensuite shower room, bathroom on first floor, shower room on ground floor. Sitting room with open log burning fireplace. Kitchen/dining/family room with doors to patio area and garden with a locked door onto a back lane. Bottom of the garden has storage facilities for surf boards, wet suits and bikes. Parking for one car on forecourt and one reserved space off road 100 yards away. Travel cot and high chair on request. It has been entirely refurbished, including building on an architect designed kitchen/diner/sitting room ideal for holiday living. The area has a mass of beaches including Manorbier which is a 2 - 3 minute walk. There are many places to visit from castles, islands and interesting old houses to magnificent cliff walks (the coast path goes across the beach), stacks covered in sea birds, cliff chapels, the Presceli Mountains and St. David's Cathedral. Fishing can be arranged not far away, either coarse or fly fishing whichever appeals. The village has a cafe, castle, post office, pub and hotel. The coastal area is very beautiful and part of the National Park.

About Sue Wallace

We bought Carew Cottage early this year, having stayed there three years ago for two weeks. We fell in love with the cottage and Manorbier and are now the proud owners. We wanted to keep the cottage as a holiday let so that others can experience the lovely village, beach and surrounding area of Pembrokeshire.

Manorbier's beautiful beach is a short walk away from the cottage which is in the heart of the village. The beach has golden sands, rock pools, a freshwater stream and good surfing waves. There is a well stocked shop/post office, family hotel, pub and the 'Beach Break' a small cafe next door to the cottage, serving home-made fresh food.

Manorbier beach is 2 - 3 minutes walk from the cottage. It is a good surfing beach and has interest for all ages. Mainly sandy but with a mass of rock pools for children looking for crabs etc., and a freshwater stream for making dams. Full of entertainment. There are masses of beaches within a 10 mile radius of the cottage.

Travel:

There is a station in Manorbier on the main line from Cardiff to Pembroke Dock (and on to Ireland).

Distances:

The cottage is in the centre of Manorbier village. Tenby is 5 miles, with a beautiful harbour and 2 huge beaches. Both are on the southern edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast. The cottage is in the Conservation Area & the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The Coastal Path runs across the beach and the cliffs are awe inspiring. Barafundle Beach is about 7 miles by car, & a beautiful cliff walk, has been much written up as the most unspoilt beach in the UK. Castles, walks, beaches, all close by.

Further Details:

Manorbier village has a very good Londis Shop/Post Office, and there is a very good cafe next door to the cottage. Manorbier Castle has a tea shop & it is very interesting to go round.
