Lakonia remains a secret gift to travellers who are searching for a taste of a simpler time. Away from the city and the village, our property offers space, peace and tranquility. Each house has lovely views of the sea, outside entertainment areas, as well as gardens and small caves to wonder and explore. Here, the sound of traffic is replaced by the steady hum of cicadas, and large eucalypts and pines offer generous shade from the bright Mediterranean sun. We have created Sun and Sea Villas as a welcoming and friendly place where you can escape and and relax among the olive groves.

The house sleeps up to five people. The house is the upper house of two. Its layout is a large open plan living room/bedroom with adjoining kitchen and bathroom with bathtub. Another bedroom is located on the lower floor. Private, comfortable house, with breathtaking views, with parking on site.

South peloponnese stay

We loved this house - really nicely done and everything thought of. In delightful grounds, well cared for and charming. Our hosts were the nicest hosts ever, nothing was too much trouble. The only drawback for us was that public transport in this area is sparse and we didn’t have a car. We’d highly recommend this place despite that.

Erwartungen mehr als erfüllt

Wir haben uns rundrum wohl gefühlt. Geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Haus, an alles war gedacht, Küchengrundausstattung mit Öl, Gewürzen, Tee und Kaffee. Die Klimaanlage hat uns bei über 40°C wirklich gute Dienste erwiesen. Wunderbarer Meerblick, trotz Hauptsaison, keine vollen Strände. Supernette Vermieter.

A house full of personal friendliness!

Those who know the region, enjoy the area and this little cosy house on a small rock, having always a light wind during night & day! Clean property, warm welcome, more than a normal holiday-house - we had not planned, but we will return!

Not unlike most of our guests, Kasia and I have long dreamed of a place in the country. We chose Viglafia as it reminds us of the Greece of our youth. Here time has not moved as it has in the rest of the world. Fresh vegetables are still bought from stalls on the side of small roads. The butcher and baker have not yet been completely replaced by the supermarket. Houses, shops and even the people are quiet and unassuming. Most importantly, nature abounds and the sea is crystal in all its seasonal moods and shades. We love to share this area and are very pleased to be your hosts. We also enjoy cooking, reading, surfing, fishing and of course, conversations with new friends from around the world.

Why they chose this property

Pure magic! Even from its raw beginnings it was clear that this property offered peace, tranquility and a sense of history. The views and the amazing beaches close by, made this our obvious choice in our search for our Greek country dream.

What makes this property unique

The property is surrounded by olive groves and sits upon a hill with wonderful views of the Laconian Gulf and the island of Elafonisos. The ferry to the island is 1km from the houses and just beyond it, is 14km of white sand beach and the sunken bronze age city of Pavlopetri. The small village of Viglafia is 300m from the houses and has some nice country restaurants, as well as an old coffee shop and numerous summer rentals. The town of Neapoli is 15km from the property and offers shops, supermarkets, restaurants, coffee shops and the ferry to Kythira. The houses are far enough away from the village that they are private and tranquil, yet close enough so that you can still enjoy modern conveniences. We look forward to welcoming you!
