HOLIDAY COTTAGE (3 BEDROOMS) SLEEPS 6/7

Three bedrooms, one with double bed and en suite bathroom. Two further double bedrooms, one with double bed and slightly separated by brick wall is a single bed if required and another with twin beds, both sharing a bathroom with bath and shower over. The spacious open plan dining/sitting room separate the two bedrooms from the en suite bedroom. There is a double futon in the sitting room. A kitchen leads off from the dining area. Light and airy accommodation. The cottage is on the first floor, up straight stairs from the hall. All bedlinen towels, and kitchen facilities for cooking etc. two fridges, one upright freezer and dish washer in the kitchen. Electric oven and hob. The washing machine is downstairs in an outhouse.

About EVINGTON HILL FARM, JOYCE AND KEITH ANNIS

Joyce and Keith came to this property eighteen years ago and proceeded to upgrade it to be able to cater for bed and breakfast guests and self catering. We gained Gold 4 Star rating very quickly for our accommodation and B/B. Keith retired from banking to be employed by his wife and took on the breakfast cooking..not the rest of the cooking! We also had to tackle a very large garden and planted more plants to give us more work! We make our own apple juice and blackcurrant, strawberry, greengage, plum and raspberry jams when harvest is good. (mostly it is!) We have thoroughly enjoyed meeting our guests and sharing some lovely moments with them. We now try to do just self-catering as we have eight grandchildren whom we like to entertain! and relieve parents occasionally!

Why EVINGTON HILL FARM, JOYCE AND KEITH ANNIS chose Tewkesbury district

We fell in love with this old 16C house, originally a 'Court house' that served the community. A lovely Tudor fire place is pride of place in our sittingroom. Over the years it has grown, with many extensions, including Victorian with high ceilings. Apparently we have the 'best candle burns in Gloucester' in one of our own bedrooms.

We converted rooms that were used as offices into our lovely two bedroom cottage which has beams running throughout the property. Quite high up ones! This cottage is very cosy, light and easy to live in. It has garden at the back door and garden and patios at the front and faces the 4 acre garden. A very sunny spot at the front with benched table and a slightly hidden table and chairs facing the tennis court - to watch the players or play yourself!

We also have a very light, warm and airy 3 BED FLAT with double bedroom en suite and two double bedrooms with two singles and one double and single bed sharing a bathroom at the other side of the flat. In the middle, a new kitchen two fridges freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, opens up to the dining room, table with six chairs. Stairs come up in the middle and the other side is the sitting room area, with double futon, large settee and chairs. TVs are in the sitting room, and bedrooms. Guests really like this spacious flat.

To complete our apartments, plenty of seating TV coffee table etc. Separate kitchen/dining room (fully equipped) and bathroom with shower over. Large bedroom with double bed, and hall. Suitable for two or four people and ideal for young family.

What makes this cottage unique

We are situated very conveniently for Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and Gloucester, but retaining a good air of rural and peaceful life with farming all around us. The M5 going north junction is just two miles on the way to Cheltenham. We have great out of town shopping just two miles down the road with The wonderful Wholefood Company opposite Sainsburys, a very large Next, United and coffee shops etc. a little further on there is a large M & S home and a smaller M & S food amongst other shops.

Our apartments all have great character and are comfortable and sit within a lovely garden, tennis court and large grassy areas to kick a football etc!! or just have a drink sitting in the garden watching the birds.

We, as owners are in our own house as part of the complex and are on hand to answer any queries guests may have or suggest venues, or eating places.

The three flats also lend really well for group bookings to celebrate occasions and we have had many of them!

The village is just over the road, and is nice to walk around, and going past the village pond eventually arrive at a pub on the river Severn via the canal, which is part of Gloucestershire Wet Lands with wild birds frequenting it.l

We were warmly met by Joyce and Keith, a lovely couple. The 3 bedroom cottage is just beautiful, a lovely open spaced property. Fabulous kitchen with everything you need. Loved that Joyce and Keith have thought of everything. We stayed over Christmas and the cottage was decorated beautifully. All toiletries, cleaning equipment already there. I would highly recommend this property, and will go back again.

Lovely short break

Well-appointed flat, with lots of character. Very clean with everything we needed. Beautiful gardens with tennis court, table-tennis and pool table available. BBQ was provided. Joyce and Keith were very friendly, making sure we had everything we needed and answering queries about places to visit locally.

Joyce and Keith were so kind!!

The garden is amazing, the house is big and we have been very comfortable. It has everything you need, as the house hold goods and furniture is perfect.

We have spent a great long weekend and the location is quite good to go around the Cotswolds.

Excellent family reunion at Easter

I booked the 3 bedroom cottage for a family reunion over the Easter break and the location was superb for exploring the surrounding areas

Joyce and Keith were amazingly helpful from my first telephone enquiry to the cheery wave when we left. They made us feel very welcome and obliviously care that we all enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was surprisingly spacious and the kitchen was well equipped including two fridges. Warm, clean and quirky. Bedrooms are a good size and the whole accommodation has been done to a very good standard. Plenty of parking. We would definitely return. Thank you Joyce and Keith for a wonderful stay and warm welcome when we arrived.

Our accommodations are situated within four acres grounds. The main house of the owners is a 16C farmhouse and the letting accommodation is surroundingit. Great character with beams, etc The owners are on hand for any queries that may arise, or helpful suggestions to make guests holiday enjoyable. We have lovely views from the upstairs cottage and we are surrounded by fields and trees etc. Situated centrally for Tewkesbury, Gloucester and Cheltenham with the Forest of Dean and Ledbury, Cardiff within easy travelling distance. Out of town shopping within 2/3 miles. Two pubs within a mile.
