Absolutely the BEST owner in Firenze

Gianfranco and Cinzia were the consumate owners and landlords. From the moment we checked into the apartment to the arrivederci in front of our taxi to the airport, they were incredibly attentive to our wants and needs. The apartment is completely furnish, is very comfortable and spacious. It is airy with excellent cross ventilation. There were a few moments when we needed to contact them and they were immediately responsive. The apartment is located in San Nicolò, close to the Arno and the Ponte Grazie, within walking distance of centro yet far from the crowds of tourists. We felt welcomed in the neighbor, to the point that the barista in the cafe where we took coffee every morning made our usual coffee drinks and had them in the bar. We had a wonderful time in the apartment and in the neighborhood. HIGHLY recommend this property and owners!

Wonderful Find!

This was my first experience with VRBO and renting an apartment and it turned out great! I spent two months in Florence and this was the ideal location, close to Ponte Vecchio and sights but on Oltrarno side ( better side in my opinion.) Hosts Gianfranco and Cinzia are wonderful people: kind, accommodating and extremely helpful. Highly recommend.

Amazing apartment in the perfect location with very accommodating hosts.

We spent a month in Gianfranco and Cinzia's apartment #2D. The apartment is very well equipped with everything we needed for the month. We loved their Tuscan-style kitchen and had everything we needed to occasionally cook in. It even had a full size refrigerator and freezer. The apartment is bright, clean and located just over the Ponte alle Grazie bridge. The location was perfect; an easy walk to everything, but far away from all of the tourists to be quiet. We loved walking to the restaurants and daily market in San Spirito. Gianfranco, Cinzia and their sons are extremely accommodating. Gianfranco even got up at 4am to make sure our taxi arrived in time to get us to the airport. We felt right at home and pray we can return in the future! Highly recommended!

Perfect Location and Lovely Owners! Planning to Book Again

This apartment is a gem for several reasons. The owners are most welcoming and helpful! From the moment we arrived they ensured our needs were met. Gianfranco and his son met us on our arrival and helped with the luggage. They showed us everything and we settled in. The apartment is very clean and has all of the basics and more. The location is super and it is easy to navigate around this beautiful city from there. I am hoping to return. It was nice to have an elevator after a day of sightseeing. Thank you to the Rosati’s for helping make our vacation so comfortable.

My name is Gianfranco - I am a native Florentine living with my wife Cinzia and our two boys: Riccardo and Roberto. My wife and I are both retired high school teachers. The apartments that we rent are located in the same ancient building in the center of Florence where my family has lived for almost 100 years. We take pride in our property, are responsive to your needs, and deal with you directly – from key exchanges to cleaning, to repairs, and anything in between. And we all speak English as well as Italian. You’ll feel at home and you’ll have Florence at your feet!

Why they chose this property

This ancient building was purchased by my grandfather Michelangiolo in the 1920s, and a very useful elevator was added in 1974. I have always lived here, except for my college years in the USA. This property was passed down through the generations and my family currently owns four of its nine apartments. In 2013 we moved from the 2nd floor to a larger apt on the 4th floor. We then decided to renovate the 2nd-floor apartment (“2D”), and we started renting it to tourists in August 2014. Renovation of the large 3rd-floor apt (“3S”) was carried out between 2015 and 2016, and it opened to short rentals in April 2016. We then renovated the other 3rd floor apt (“3D”) between Nov 2016 and April 2017.

What makes this property unique

Excellent location in one of the most charming areas of the city, one block from the Arno River. Walking distance to everything you want to see in Florence but also equidistant to less touristy local restaurants, and quiet enough for a good night's sleep. The wifi works great and all the appliances are high quality, plus you also get that pleasant feeling of Italy of yesterday. Bedrooms either feature a decorated ceiling or a breathtaking view and are furnished with fixtures of exquisite workmanship. Owners live in the same building, speak English, and are always available.
