Traditional family home with everything you need

We came across this property by accident when searching the internet for a holiday property. How lucky were we?? A truly lovely, tranquil and welcoming home. The 5 of us including 3 teenagers aged 19, 16 and 13 all loved it. Close enough to the beach and other attractions when needed, but far enough away to get a true feel for North Tenerife.

We were glad that we hired a car, although we didnt use it everyday, but it did make it easier for getting around and shopping.

The pool, although unheated did warm up naturally and was very welcome both morning and evening.

Owners Andreas and Isabelle were very welcoming and whilst we didn't need to ask for anything they were living nearby and were available all week, incuding delivering a surprise package of fresh croissants and morning goods on our second day!

This property is not modern, but it is clean, spacious and full of character.

I would thoroughly recommend it and would love to stay there again.

Lovely and peaceful traditional house in midst of banana plantation

We've had a fantastic and relaxing time at the villa. Kids and us loved it. Fantastic quiet location, beautiful garden and veranda and great views of the sea, sunsets and Teide from the roof terrace. Short 5 minutes drive to Loro Parque or Playa Jardin or Puerto de la Cruz centre. Andres the owner was very funny and helpful with tips for the best restaurants and places to go to. Great holiday choice.

Perfect Location and Stay

This property is amazing! My two daughters and I stayed here May 12-26, 2017 and loved it! It is perfectly located near Puerto De la Cruz, truly surrounded by banana groves and peaceful & tranquil. The booking process was easy and Ana was very responsive. Andres (owner) and his family live right next door and checked on us frequently to ensure our stay was perfect. The two bedrooms are far apart (perfect for us since we have a heavy snorer in the family!), the kitchen well equipped and the outdoor space....simply beautiful! We spent many sunsets on the rooftop terrace and some lazy days next to the pool. We rented a car for our stay but you really don't need one if you intend on spending your time in Puerto as the bus stop is a short walk away and the bus goes just about everywhere. We traveled much of the island and found an auto rental to be most convenient. If you have an auto, Santa Cruz, Los Gigantes and many other sights are not more than an hour away.

This is the place to stay to slow down...mingle with the locals and enjoy the peace and quiet you really need when on vacation. Thank you Ana and Andres for a perfect vacation! When we return to Tenerife, we will book this property again! <3 <3

February Break

The property was located just outside the town of Puerto, amoung banana plantations. Access was via a narrow and with a short section of unmade road. However once you arrive you are greeted by Andrés and Isabelle, who live adjacent to the house. They are very friendly and helpful.

The house is large. Two double bedrooms each with its own bathroom, a comfortable lounge and an additional sitting room with a TV. The kitchen was perfectly adequate but could have been improved with some better cooking utensils etc. however the beauty of the house is the outside areas. A large covered patio which accommodates a full dining table and separately, rattan chairs with a low table. This leads onto a large lawned garden with shrubs and palm trees. It's within the garden that the delightful pool is set. There are sufficient sun loungers around the pool and given the palm trees, there are areas of shade if required.

There is a barbecue to use and a full roof terrace, which seems a little blank but affords fantastic views of the La Orotava valley.

Overall our stay was very enjoyable and would take a note for a return trip.

Peaceful location amongst the bananas

Wonderful, peaceful location situated in amongst banana plantations. Views of the sea and Mt Teide from the property. Access road is a little bumpy so you need to approach with caution. A 30-35 minute downhill walk to Playa Jardin in Puerto de la Cruz and a 6 minute drive to nearest supermarket with the motorway just beyond. Plenty of restaurants/ cafes in town. Property is large with all the essentials needed but could benefit from a microwave and dishwasher. Plenty of outside space with a lovely colourful walled garden laid to lawn, small swimming pool, under cover patio/ dining area and roof space with panoramic views. Our hosts, Isabel and Andres were friendly and helpful and just next door if assistance was required. Would return if visiting the island in the future.

A wonderful oasis in an otherwise busy but lovely area of Tenerife.

The house and garden were worth the rather tricky approach on rough terrain. Don't rent a fancy car! Once the house was reached it was wonderfully peaceful and private. Lovely to have a small private pool to come back to when hot. And a gorgeously situated patio area that caught the sun all afternoon and evening whilst the house remained cool during the day but cosy at night. Andreas and Isabel's house is homely and slightly quirky, which we loved. We were there for a week and the weather was perfect. Loved visiting Loro Parque, Mount Tiede, Jardin Botanico and swimming in the rock pools at Garachico. Our eight year old loved swimming in the harbour. Whilst not being as aesthetically pleasing as the beach it was much safer to swim in without the big waves and she could dive from the harbour walls.

We all had a very lovely and relaxing holiday.
