About the property

17th century traditional stone-built house located in a very peaceful pedestrian authentic village.The house is consisted of 2 levels, respectful of the Cycladic architecture. Its perfect orientation to be protected by the north winds (meltemi), very usual during summer in the Cyclades, allows you to have breakfast and dinner outside and enjoy all day the sun and the beautiful scenary overlooking the village and the ancient walls (terraces). The environment is natural and extremely quiet!!!

Upper floor is the main living area consisted of a veranda and a balcony overlooking the village and the ancient stone walls. One entrance door from the veranda leads to the living room called Salla (with traditional sofa single bed) and 2 small bedrooms with double beds. Another entrance leads to the fully equipped kitchen and an extra room (which has a single bed and also a separate entrance from the balcony). On upper floor there is also a small WC. Down floor there is a cave bedroom with double sofa bed, the bathroom with shower and WC, the washing machine, a fire place, cellars & storage rooms.

This house is ideal for families, team of friends, romantic couples, people loving the nature, the history, architecture, hiking, living like locals.

This Cycladic house in this peaceful village where I spent all the summers of my childhood with my grandmother, the charming Mediterranean nature, the serenity of environment, the games with my friends in the small alleys of the village always stay in my memory as something very sacred!

This is an ideal holiday home for the curious who want to discover the most beautiful island of Cyclades with its sandy beaches, picturesque villages perched on mountains, dovecotes, hiking or driving around the island. Ideal for couples, families, friends, all those who love living like a local, adore the nature, the simple style of living, the peace and serenity away from the tourist crowds, big hotel resorts & massive commerce.

You can reach several beaches within 5 – 10 minutes by car or the village beach within 30 minutes walking through the path.

In the nearby village, Pyrgos, just 3 minutes by car or 15 minute walk through the path, village famous for its marble sculptors , you will find shops , restaurants , cafes, bars, bakery, mini market, chemist, ATM (Automatic Cash Machine), museums, galleries etc.

In the fishing village, Panormos, 4,5 km from the house you will also find many taverns with fresh fish and local specialties. Panormos is surrounded by 4 sandy beaches.

The house is built protected by the north winds and allows you to live and eat outside no matter the strength of the north winds called "meltemi" which are very usual over the Cyclades during the summer.The views over the village and the ancient stonewalls is unique and the serenity of the environment will surprise you. Tinos island (still unspoiled and unknown from massive tourism) is the birthplace of the Greek National Footpath Organization and has one of the most remarkable networks of traditional paths in Greece. It is the ideal place for walking. Rocky mule tracks are crossing the island and offer excellent views of the magnificent landscape, a landscape that seems made for mythological adventures, with verdant groves alive, with the sound of spring water, hidden ravines, and giant, wind-sculpted boulders strewn on mountain slopes as if dropped by passing Gods. Coves bite into the coastline, picture-book medieval villages, courtyards and paths laid with pebble and stone mosaics, white-washed chapels pierced in hidden places, marble mines and the fanciful thousand dovecotes. You can see dovecotes on the Cyclades, but it’s only on Tinos that they have reached a decorative brilliance unmatched anywhere else.

Location is not recommended for people looking for big resorts & night life!
