This well located modern house has beautiful sea views, set back less than 125 metres from the ocean and a short walk to the village of Praia da Luz and its sandy beach. It offers the perfect range of accommodation for groups and families - ideal for celebrations such as birthdays and anniversaries. The village has a range of fine restaurants and all local amenities. Nearby are 3 excellent golf courses. This spacious house has a well equipped kitchen, a large open plan living and dining room with air conditioning/central heating throughout. The house has its own private pool (heating available), upper and lower terraces both with stunning views over the ocean and the village. There are seven bedrooms, three twin-bedded and four doubles [five en-suite]. There is a further shower room on the upper floor. The private pool is surrounded by a spacious terrace, equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas as well as the palm trees which offer shade on a hot day. There is a stone barbecue for use by guests with outdoor tables and chairs to allow for dining al-fresco. The rear courtyard has a laundry room and there is space to dry your clothes. An outdoor table-tennis table is available, which can be used on either the front or rear terraces. The house offers ideal all year round accommodation for 2,3, even 4 families or larger parties.

Golf: The Algarve is world renowned for its excellent Golf Courses. There are three superb courses close to the house. The well known course of Boavista is just 2 kilometres away.

Sea Sports: There are many opportunities in the local area to take part in most sea sports, including windsurfing, sailing, fishing, surfing, water skiing, paragliding, to mention just a few.

Coastal Walks: The house is situated just 200 metres from the coastal path between Luz and Burgau and affords wonderful opportunities for walkers. A short distance inland you can join countryside nature trails and safaris.

About the Owner

The house is family owned. We have been holidaying in Portugal for over twenty years along with our four children and friends. After renting for many years we took the plunge and the house was purchased in 2006 and we haven't looked back! Portugal and more specifically Praia da Luz, has offered us a welcome break from our busy working lives. The children have also enjoyed the area having 'grown up' from toddlers into adults who now holiday there several times a year.

Villa Casa Vista Oceano

Everything about this holiday was just perfect, after spending much time researching I chose this Villa because of its size, facilities and location all of which exceeded my expectations. We had a large group of 19 family members ranging in age from 10 to 79, the villa and surrounding area catered for all of our needs .The villa never felt overcrowded even when we were all there together enjoying evening meals, the barbecue was a big hit after a productive day fishing. The children spent much of their time in the pool which is a great size for inflatables.

The rooms were all clean and fresh on our arrival and we were met by John and Sue who made us feel very welcome, they assured us they were a phone call away if needed which they were when we had a small issue with the pool heating, it was addressed and rectified within 20 mins, they were very friendly and also gave us useful information on the local area.

The area has a relaxed feel to it, plenty of good restaurants and bars, lovely beaches and a regular bus service to Lagos. The water park was a big hit with the children, the hotel bar which is situated directly behind the villa was a big hit with adults and children alike

I would certainly recommend this villa to any large group of any ages. I hope to return sometime in the near future.

Nice house with room for many

Nice house with room for many.

We were 2 families (10 people) from Denmark who lived in this lovely house for 14 days in July 2016th

The house has many large and spacious rooms. Outdoor amenities with many tables, chairs and sunbeds. The kitchen is also well equipped. Many meals were consumed at the top terresse, which has the most beautiful view of the sea. The house gave us therefore a perfect setting for a good holiday, and can therefore be recommended if you have to stay many together.

The beaches in the area are fantastic. They are very different and more should be tested. We can recommend the beach at Luz, Burgau and Bordeira.

Walk along the water / rocks from Luz to Lagos and Burgau can be recommended. It is a great and different nature.

We were also on the trip to a mountain lake / dam. Here one should take to "Albufeira da Barragem de Odiáxere". This area allows for short and long walks. There is also the opportunity to go on the dam. You can also take to the "Barragem de Odelouca". But here there is no chance to get close to the dam, as the area is closed off. We therefore recommend "Albufeira da Barragem de Odiáxere".

The hosts Sue and John are friendly and helpful. Sue and John are also very easy to get in touch with if need for this.

We look back on our holiday in 2016 with happy and good memories.

Excellent

Absolutely first class. Our family party of 20 including 3 infants and a child under 4 found the accommodation totally suiting our needs. Facilities are so well provided it was a truly relaxing holiday, one we will all remember for a long time to come. We hardly left the Villa spending time around the pool only walking to the shops and beach when necessity and activity demanded. The owners spent time ensuring our stay was memorable and we would recommend their villa to anyone.

Lovely villa, perfect for large groups

We have had a lovely week in Casa Vista Oceana and would like to thank John and Sue for letting us stay at their beautiful villa.

The lay out worked very well for our party of 14, as most of the rooms are ensuuite which meant that we each had our own "front door" . the reception areas on two floors and the terrace gave ample room to eat and socialise.

The children loved our private pool, almost as much as they loved the next door pool at the Aparthotel where some more of our party were staying. We tended to pop next door for cocktail hour and ice creams most nights.

The walk into Luz takes about 10 to 15 mins on very quiet roads and is just enough to walk off your meal before returning home.

We had meals at Fortaleza, the Galley and the South African restaurant just as you get into Luz. All were very good and we thought very reasonably priced.

The little spa shop in Luz is quite expensive in comparison to the bigger supermarkets in Lagos, but their freshly baked croissants were voted the best!

All in all we had a marvellous time and thanks once again to John and Sue for their information and assistance pior to the holiday which made everything go smoothly.

Beautiful villa, fantastic location

We have just arrived back from a fantastic week at Casa Vista Oceano.

Prior to our arrival John and Sue (the owners) very helpfully provided us with lots of detailed information on the villa, and also the surrounding area. They were easily contactable to resolve any queries we had.

On arrival we were delighted to find that the villa is even lovelier than it appears in the photos, and the view from the terrace is simply amazing.

The ratio of 7 bedrooms to 6 bathrooms was perfect for our large family party, and everything we could possibly need for the week was provided (barring food and drink of course!).

Location is fantastic-an easy 5-10 minute walk to the sandy beach, supermarket and various bars/restaurant.

In short, we all agreed that the week was perfect and wouldn't hesitate to book this villa again.

This property offers fantastic ocean views in a quiet and yet convenient location on the edge of the village of Praia da Luz. It offers excellent and spacious accommodation for people who wish to get away from it all with a larger family group or friends. The house is large enough to give everyone their own space, while at the same time having spacious indoor and outdoor areas for people to be together. Luz itself is delightful all year round, offering something for everyone. There are quiet coastal walks nearby, fantastic beaches with a wide range of water sports, picturesque villages and towns either a walk or short drive away, various sporting opportunities and most of all beautiful year round sunshine!

Praia da Luz is a fishing village with a sandy beach approximately 10 minutes walk from the house. From the house itself you can go for long coastal walks on the cliff tops towards either Burgau or Lagos. There are many beautiful beaches within a short driving distance, including the surfing beaches of the Western Algarve. There are 3 golf courses nearby, including the famous Boavista Course just 2 kilometres away. There are many places of interest to visit such as the historic town on Lagos with its daily fish market and wide range of shops. The mountain village of Monchique and the spa of the Caladas do Monchique, Sagres and the Lighthouse at Cape St.Vincent are just a short drive away. The main tourist resorts of the Algarve, Praia da Rocha, Albufeira, Vilamoura, are also nearby and well worth a visit.

  • The kitchen is fully fitted with a range of equipment. In addition to the items listed above there is also a toaster, coffee percolator and juicer. The kitchen has a seating area for breakfast dining. There is a full range of TV and audio equipment in the main living area, but also three of the other bedrooms have a TV with either video or DVD player. Outside there are sun loungers with cushions for use beside the pool and on the terraces. There are also three outdoor dining tables with chairs. Two large parasols are available for use on the lower terrace. The upper terrace is fully equipped with electric sun blinds with wind and sun sensors. A daily maid service can be arranged at an extra cost, but the rental price includes a weekly maid and laundry service. The outdoor pool can be heated on request. There is ample car parking space to the side and rear of the property.
