Overview

About the property

A fabulous converted Victorian house with breathtaking panoramic sea views.

Situated on top of the White Cliffs between Broadstairs and Ramsgate and just an 8 minute walk to a beautiful sandy bay with its own beach cafe and toilet facilities (seasonal openings), this well equipped flat makes a great holiday home for people who want peace and quiet. The lounge /diner has double doors opening onto a balcony directly overlooking the sea. It is perfect for relaxing, reading or watching the world go by as you sit in the warm sunshine drinking your morning coffee and listening to the sound of the sea!

There is a well fitted modern kitchen with built in oven and hob, integrated fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble drier so everything you need is to hand. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom (shower over bath) and a balcony where you can enjoy the evening sun. There is a twin room and separate shower room with toilet. Off road parking for one car.

This two bedroom property was converted into four flats about 14 years ago. During that time the owners have spent many happy holidays down there.

If you enjoy hiking or cycling, Broadstairs is on route 15 of the 32 mile (51.4km) Viking Coastal trail. Why not cycle or walk to one of the many micro pubs and breweries that are springing up all over Thanet. These micro pubs are often small converted shops where real ale or cider is proudly served and conversation flows as much as the beer!

History abounds! This was Dickens' favourite holiday spot! Explore a wealth of Dickens memorabilia at the Dickens House Museum. Joss Bay, named after the notorious 18th century smuggler Joss Snelling, is well worth a visit and Botany Bay was a contraband hot-spot. In Ramsgate discover the secret underground tunnels which saved the lives of many people by providing shelter from the blitz in the second world war. The new Turner centre in Margate is well worth a visit, as is the Old Town Square for vintage and retro shops. The port's Sea Searcher offers wildlife-watching tours and fishing charters, RIB Request offers seal, wind farm and ship spotting trips, while Galleon Cruises allows you to hire your very own sleek cruiser.

High-speed services mean the shores of Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate are less than two hours away from London.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Everything exceeded our expectations, a big, living dining area with well equipped kitchen, just perfect for eating, drinking and admiring the view. We loved having a drink on the balcony and watching the world go by, it’s a no through road so you hardly see any cars. No WIFI, but that wasn’t a problem as most of the coffee shops have WIFI. Our favourites were the Albion Hotel in Broadstairs, the Beach Bar under the arches and the Brassiere on the harbour wall in Ramsgate. We were fortunate with the weather and hardly used the car, if you time it right you can walk through the park to Ramsgate and back along the beach, but do check the tide! Did lots of cycling and walking and can’t wait to go back to explore more and spend more time in this lovely apartment. "

Relaxing as it should be

  • 5 of 5

Gillian was very attentive and answered very quickly all of my questions. The apartment is really nice and clean, I loved the área, it is super quiet and relaxing, it is 15 min away from the centre of Broadstairs and also walking distance from Ramsgate. Would recommend and go back for sure. Thank you!!!

Great place to stay, great views

  • 5 of 5

The views are as good as advertised and we were able to take full advantage of the veranda in the sunny, warm weather we had. The location of the apartment is ideal, very close to the nearest beach and not far from the town center but still in a very peaceful residential area.

We found the apartment very comfortable and spacious with everything we needed. We've stayed in a number of apartments in Broadstairs over the years and while they've all been very good we always had to compromise on something. With Luna's View all the boxes were ticked and even though it was relatively expensive at the time we stayed we thought it was good value. We're hoping to be back next year!

Idyllic views and perfect location

  • 5 of 5

The flat is in a perfect location to stroll into Broadstairs whilst being remote enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of this part of the coastline - the ideal spot for relaxing watching the boats sail by.

All the information about the flat and nearby attractions/restaurants etc. as supplied by Gill was very useful and accurate. We had some lovely meals out at the Italian restaurant Posillipo and the taster menu at the Yarrow.

We enjoyed some lovely walks into Broadstairs and Ramsgate both along the beach (managing to dodge the tide - almost!) and along the promenades/cliff tops.

The flat is well equipped and comfortable. We will definitely return.

An apartment with a view

  • 5 of 5

A lovely flat, it had everything you could want. We thoroughly enjoyed our short break. A balcony to view and hear the sea from. Lovely walks into Broadstairs and Ramsgate and time to chill out and enjoy the ever changing seaviews.

Well appointed apartment with outstanding sea view

  • 5 of 5

Gillian's apartment is lovely-everything you could hope for in a holiday home plus a view to die for. Our favourite thing was breakfast on the balcony (in April) watching the distant shipping pass the French coast.

The location is fabulous with Ramsgate & Broadstairs easily reached on foot-even via the beach at low tide. We loved Broadstairs in particular with its numerous places to eat (Prezzos has a great view) and award winning fish & chips from Star of the Sea.

Further afield the coast at Joss Bay is remarkable and we loved The Botany Bay Inn for food.

Missing it all already, hope we can return one day.

Thankyou

PS, great M&S at Westwood Cross!
