Overview

About the property

2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, canal view

The apartment is a bright and well-furnished flat with a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and 2 full bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen; large dining table that can comfortably host 8 persons for dinner and a bright and elegant living room with sofas and armchairs. On the second floor of an historic palace it has 2 set of stairs to reach the apartment’s door. The canal View is of the same canal that skirts Ca’ Pesaro that is the home of “Fondazione Prada” and the vaporetto stop of San Stae is just 5 minutes away. At San Stae arrive both the vaporetto line 1 and the Alilaguna shuttle boat orange line.

Agnus Dio or Four Evangelists are two denominations of the palazzo derived from diverse decorative elements on the transition-style façade. “Agnus Dio”, God's lamb, comes from a nice patere with a God's lamb over the water gate. Four symbols of the evangelists, which are sculptured between the arches of the five-arch loggia, gave the second name to the palace. The first two sustains at the left and right are not columns, but pillars, which still have the holes for the original window grilles. The palace has a C-type plan with the courtyard at the Calle va al Forno. This palazzo is an important work of the transition style between byzantine and gothic in Venice.

Fantastic property should have been warned about the building works

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful apartment in an excellent location but the renovations in the apartments surrounding our apartment and above ours was very loud every morning.

The agents told us it was due to be finished but someone is telling porkies. This renovation will be at least another 6 months and lovely smell of urine as you come through the door from the street is also a delight. We really should have been warned. The vibrations from the work woke us each morning. The evenings were lovely and quiet and it really is a delightful apartment. If you are staying here soon then check with the agent

Lovely spacious apartment in an ideal location

  • 5 of 5

Sophie gave us a great introduction to the apartment and some good tips on local amenities. It proved a great base for our week in Venice and a relaxing and quiet place to unwind from the days pounding the streets. Look forward to returning in the future.

lovely apartment in a great area of Venice

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay and found the apartment to be in a better location than we thought. It was very well appointed with the necessary equipment.A couple of points of constructive criticism - we were keep waiting nearly half an hour at the initial meeting point, which was not a good start. The shower in the master room did not work properly and it was difficult to sort it.The ground floor was dangerous, with lots of building equipment on the floor and no lighting at all until you reached the stairs so was a bit scary at night. There was far to much potpourri in the rooms, which was very overpowering and we had to cover it up. These things aside, we had a great stay and would recommend it .

Tolle Unterkunft in toller Lage

  • 5 of 5
