Guestbook comments from the owner

Steading cottage was beautifully spacious, warm, comfortable, exceptionally clean and welcoming. The beds were really comfortable, there was a wonderful log shed - full of logs. We played golf, cycled, shopped and relaxed. The town of Crieff had some lovely restaurants. The owners were fab and I highly recommend this cottage, we could not have asked for more. Lovely touches made all the difference like flowers in all the rooms, lovely tea, cakes and croissants. Max loved the garden and the view was amazing.

Beautiful property, lovely location, not secure garden!

  • 3 of 5

The property was lovely, well equipped, and owners very friendly and helpful. We had our two dogs with us and had specifically asked if the garden was secure, we found out very quickly it was not. Our stay was marred by having to have to have the dogs on leads in the garden, which was not much fun when the weather was so nice we wanted to enjoy the lovely garden to eat our meals.

Owner's Response: I am so sorry that your two Giant male rare breed Leonberger dogs could jump out of the enclosed garden - we have rented the cottage for over ten years and pets have always been most welcome. No guest has ever had a complaint. So sorry it marred your holiday and that you did not take us up on our offer to errect a fense behind the stone wall - which was where one of the dogs jumped. :-( our first 3 star review - please see our pictures - I don't feel it necessary to amend our listing as i think that an enclosed garden is an accruate description but I am happy to send a video showing the garden from every angle for anyone with concerns.
