NOTICE: WE DO NOT RENT OUTSIDE OF VRBO. IF YOU GET AN UNSOLICITED EMAIL ABOUT THIS PROPERTY, IT IS A SCAM. WE DO NOT ADVERTISE ON CRAIGS LIST. If you arrive early, you will have access to the Cabana Club and can put vehicles/trailers in the driveway. The extra steps for the laundry is taking a long time. Two blocks from new and improved Coco Plum Beach! (See picture). Irma did leave us one gift, a super improved and larger beach. This may put Coco Plum back in the top 10 in the Keys. Coco Plum is just outside of Marathon and next to Key Colony Beach Florida in the Middle Keys. Very quiet and safe. Has private pool and hot tub located on a rare secluded property at the end of the street on Bonefish Bay which makes it very peaceful. Large backyard and pool is absolutely private. Your only neighbors are to the west and they can't see you and you can't see them. Otherwise, your neighbors are the water and wildlife. The house has a dock and the canal has easy access that leads to both the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. Unfortunately, no dogs allowed, even though we are dog people too!

Walk to the beach, or use our membership to the Cabana Club and their private beach.This single family home is quiet.

All three bedrooms have a bathroom connected. Two bedrooms have King Beds and one bedroom has two twin beds. This unit will sleep 8 (one sofa sleeper).

Plenty of car parking is provided on the large driveway.

Use of Cabana Club includes: ocean beach, heated pool, showers, restrooms, poolside cocktail lounge, snack bar and pool side food service (sometimes you need to walk up to order)

Fully furnished, amenities featured are listed below including: ceiling fans, blender, coffee maker, toaster and beach towels. This property has internet and smart TVs with DStream.

Many nearby attractions and activities . . Dolphin Research Center, Theatre of the Sea, Turtle Hospital, Curry Hammock State Park, Crane Point Hammock & Museum, Bahia Honda State Park, Key West, etc, etc.

On KCB 9 hole PAR 3 golf, tennis, bocci ball, basketball court, pickle ball, horseshoe area, playgrounds, bike, walking and roller blade paths, boat rentals, deep-sea fishing, diving, free diving and snorkeling.

A FUN PLACE: Miniature Golf at Boondocks (MM 27.5) and while there enjoy a nice lunch or dinner.

RESTAURANTS ON KEY COLONY BEACH: Key Colony Inn, The Island Grille, Havana Jacks and Sparky's Landing (all a short drive). Slighter further drive but local favorites include Bongos and SS Wreck, both in Grassy Key.

This home is SMOKE-FREE and CLEAN.

Commercial air connection is available to Key West, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami Airports. Major car rentals available at all airports or pick one up at the Marathon Airport.

There are four cameras on this property for safety as well as our storm viewing. There are no cameras in pool area, inside or back deck. One is in the locked garage, one is on the front door and one is on the parking area and one over the yard. If you would like to use/see the cameras during your stay, let us know.

By accepting this rental agreement you agree not to hold the home owners responsible for any liabilities, mishaps, accidents or deaths.

Marathon City Rental #PLR2018-00355

1. Vacation Rental Units are short-term (7 to 28 nights) rentals of residential dwelling units. Every vacation rental unit must have one kitchen and at least one working telephone (Land line).
2. Vacation rental units may have no more than two (2) persons per bedroom plus two (2) extra persons.
3. Short-term rentals require a Vacation Rental License from the City of Marathon. The initial determination has a non-refundable fee of $500.00, and subsequent annual renewal fees of $250.00.
4. A Monroe County Business Tax Receipt by the County Tax Department, a license from the State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, (DBPR) division of Hotels and Restaurants and Florida Department of Revenue Sales Tax identification certificate is required.
5. An inspection is required from the City Fire Department as part of the review of the Vacation Rental Determination and subsequent renewals.
6. All vehicles and trailers are required to be parked within designated areas and vehicle information must be provided upon request. No vehicles may be used for overnight accommodations.
7. Docked vessels may not extend beyond the property lines, may not be rafted together or create a navigation hazard. No vessels may be used for overnight accommodations.
8. Tenants shall not unnecessarily make or cause a noise disturbance between the hours of 10:00pm and 7:00 am.
9. All trash must be in covered containers (4 minimum) and may not be placed in the right of way except from 6:00 pm of the day prior to scheduled trash pickup, and removed from the right of way by the end of trash pickup day. .
10. A written copy of all regulations must be signed by all adult tenants. The rental agreement shall contain the home address, phone number, manager’s address and phone number, and the phone number of the rental unit. Either the property owner or property manager’s contact number must be posted in the rental unit.
9. All tenants of vacation rental units are required to comply with MANDATORY EVACUATION at the posting of a hurricane warning.
10. All advertisements of Vacation Rentals in any medium must contain the vacation rental permit number (PLR) issued by the City of Marathon.

Renters agree and acknowledge that the house is next to the water. Aquatic vessels such as paddle boards, kayaks, floaties etc. may be provided or may be left by other renters. It is required that you wear a floatation device while kayaking or paddle boarding. Coast guard is allowed to ticket you. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. ALWAYS WEAR A LIFE JACKET. DANGEROUS WILDLIFE MAY EXIST IN THE AREA. RECREATE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Owners are not responsible for any accidents or deaths.

Wonderful Vacation
Enjoyed a perfect week. This home had everything! Great location, beautiful views, and a relaxing porch and pool where we spent most of our time. Early morning kayaking—dolphin, manatees, birds! Owner was very responsive prior to and during our stay. Close to great restaurants and easy drive to Key West and islamorada.

The perfect stay for the whole family
We enjoyed our stay in Marathon and this home met all our needs and beyond. Besides the owners being quick to respond to any questions and simply being available, the home was the perfect size for our family and the amenities were a blessing. With our family, we always have trouble finding the right place to vacation down in the Keys, because the men like to fish and the women like to lounge by the pool and beach. This home provided both of what we were looking for. For the fishing, we were able to rent a boat from Marathon Boat Rentals (ask for Miguel, he’s awesome!) and the home had the perfect dock to secure it. There were several filet stations and a water hose for cleaning up our catch and the boat at the end of the day. For the pool and beach, not only did the property have a beautiful and well maintained pool and spa that we spent many hours in, but with the rental came access to the Cabana Club, just up the road, and this became a highlight with another beautiful pool and private beach with lounge chairs as well as restaurant, bar and merch store. The ladies were able to enjoy the ocean with sand between their toes and the men were able to enjoy the amazing fishing that the Keys offers. On top of that, with the rental we had access to 3 kayaks and 4 bicycles, which we enjoyed paddling around the canal and biking to Sunset beach to catch memorable sunsets on the water. All in all, our stay was perfect. Thank you Ron and Joely!

Fist of many vacations to Marathon!
After 14 years of wanting to plan a trip to the Keys...we finally did it and this property did not disappoint. It has it all! The home is beautiful, clean and well stocked. It has a great layout and plenty of space for everyone. The location was great for accessing the Atlantic and Gulf as well as exploring on land. There are a variety of restaurants to grab a bite. We cooked most of our meals at the house and were thrilled with the fully stocked kitchen. It is very peaceful and relaxing. For the most part it was very quiet, and we could hear the birds and fish feeding just beyond the mangroves. There was nearby construction, but it did not hinder our stay. The privacy this property offers was fantastic. When not out fishing, we spent a good amount of time on the back deck, in the pool and on the back porch. Being able to dock our boat at the house was very convenient. The property also has plenty of room for boat trailer parking. The internet speed was fast, which I greatly appreciated being that I had to jump on my laptop for work a couple of times. We would recommend this property to our family and friends. We had an absolutely wonderful experience. We saw several birds, iguanas, crabs and hermit crabs on the property. The owners were very responsive and helpful. We would definitely book this lovely home again.

Great place!
We had family and friends staying at this place for lobster season, and we had a blast! The house is in a great location, it’s great to be able to park the boat right at the house. We also had a blast swimming in the pool and fishing off the dock! Highly recommend staying here

Why they chose this property

For a great quiet experience on the Keys, in the middle, but close to everything, you cannot beat this secluded property. Deep canal to dock your boat at the house. Currently there is not a boat lift due to supply chain and waiting on parts.
