A beautiful home in a perfect location

Everything about our stay was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The house is full of character, beautifully and tastefully furnished with every comfort. The pool was wonderful (my daughter practically lived in it) and the extensive gardens, lovely. My sons really appreciated the two pianos and my partner, the guitar. It was so uplifting to spend time in a home surrounded by music, art and books. The little footpath down to Sommieres was delightful for fresh croissants and bread in the mornings. Sommieres is exquisitely atmospheric with its deserted medieval alleys. Don't miss the Monday evening wine festival in July and August. We also loved Esta Minet bar for a casual drink and great food and had a very special birthday dinner at Chateau du Pondres which was exceptional value. Katia, Jacques and Alex were so friendly and helpful and all dealings were charming and effortless. We hope to return very soon.

Wonderful!

We had a brilliant time in Sommieres staying at Jacques' place. Jacques was a great communicator and very welcoming when we arrived. He made us feel at home and we loved the cultural ambience of the house. The garden and swimming pool are fabulous and Sommieres, Villevielle and surrounds are great for walks, markets and exploring.

Perfect holiday

Couldn't express our delight enough. Coming from Australia it was what we had dreamt of for a stay in the south of France. House, location and overall experience are hard to put into words.

Schönes romantisches Haus in ruhiger Lage

Wir hatten einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub in einem geschmackvoll eingerichteten Haus. Die Küche war bestens ausgestattet und der Wlan-Empfang war gut. Im großen, uneinsehbaren Garten finden sich mehrere schöne Sitzecken mit schönem Ausblick. Der saubere, sonnige Pool wurde von uns häufig genutzt. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.
