Why Colin and Pippa Webb chose Dartmouth

Guest Review: "We had a fab stay at Pippa's place. Pippa and Colin were close enough to be on hand if we needed anything but the cottage is entirely independent and private. It was very comfortable and immaculately clean! We stayed with our 4 year old who was very comfy on the double-bed sized sofa bed. The location was good too - lots of buses to get to the harbour and very close to supermarkets for supplies. Super quick drive to Blackpool Sands beach too which is gorgeous. Would definitely recommend!"

What makes this cottage unique

Oxton Cottage is in a great location a short walk to the Dartmouth 'Park n Ride' and ideally located for access to the 'blue flag' Blackpool Beach - yet still within walking distance of the town centre, Royal Naval College and the River Dart. In the summer there is an outdoor heated Lido 300 meters from the cottage. Local facilities include Sainsburys, Lidl, Subway and petrol station. Dartmouth is a 'foodies' haven and there are many top quality restaurants offering a wide range of locally caught fresh fish and local produce. The Flavel Theatre provides cultural film, music and drama whilst the town holds wide-ranging festival events throughout the year covering music, comedy, food and of course the renowned Dartmouth Regatta.

Lovely clean and conveiniently located cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had a great weekend away for my partners birthday with our 1 year old daughter. There was plenty of space for our travel cot in the bedroom and the enclosed garden area was great so she could have a little run around without escaping too! The cottage had everything we needed and more, and being a short drive down to the harbour was great too. We all had a fabulous time. Thank you!

Lovely little cottage in good location in Dartmouth. The whole set up was very clean with all essentials available including washing machine and freezer. Tea/coffee and milk were available for initial move in/arrival. Patio doors open on to small garden with comfy garden chairs and table, south facing. Bathroom was fine, good shower, hot water and towels supplied. Living room furniture very comfortable and good tv and radio, bed also good. No complaints on accommodation at all. Lidl and Sainsbury's near by, as is Park and Ride and local bus service. We enjoyed our stay and it really felt like a home from home and we would use again in future.

Owner's Response: Nigel and Corinna left the cottage beautifully - thanks. I'm pleased to say that Ultra Fast Fibre Broadband is being added to the inventory next week. The new local swimming pool is due for completion in November. The weather for the music festival was excellent this year and brought great feedback from all who attended. Roll on summer....
