About the property

Lovely bright apartment, large terrace, private garden, A/C, 3 pools, WiFi Sky

Master bedroom has a king size bed, en-suite bathroom (shower ,sink and W/C) , A/C, and ceiling fan. Patio doors to main terrace and large window with garden view.

Second bedroom is a twin and has A/C and ceiling fan.

There is a fold up bed and a baby cot. There are duvets on the beds for extra comfort.

Main bathroom has WC, basin and bath with shower.

Living room - open plan with comfortable corner sofa and large rug. A/C. Large French door opening onto main terrace with views to sea. Two further windows with mountain views make lounge bright and airy.

Satellite TV (including free SKY sports, movie channels, BBC etc as well as other European channels)

DVD, Wi F internet, CD/stereo system.

Dining area - extendable table and 5 dining chairs.

Kitchen - well equipped and includes hob/oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, coffee maker, microwave and blender.

3 pools within the community, one of which is a good sized children's pool, all are surrounded by large grassed areas and are only a few minutes walk from the apartment. There is a snack bar at the main pool. Sun loungers available and pool attendant on duty during the peak season.

Casa 32 has large terrace with extendable table and 6 chairs and modern and comfortable loungers. Terrace has a lockable gate so safe for small children. Steps lead to private garden. Large gate leads onto beautiful community gardens.

The grounds also have attractive ornamental fish ponds and stream.

Beach - 15 minute walk to Burriana beach which has good facilities including children's play areas, volley ball net and cafes, including the famous Ayo's which cooks a huge paella over an open fire on Sunday afternoons. The path runs by a fantastically engineered aqueduct and through avocado groves down to the blue flag beach.

Supermarket (large) - 5 minute stroll and a second a further 5 mins away. We provide a pull along shopping trolley, handy for those who don't want to use a car. The Supermarket also offers a delivery service.

Restaurants - a number within a 5 minutes walk,

Café / Tapas bars and Restaurants - many more in centre of Nerja and along the way to the centre. Reached by a 20 minute stroll which allows you to take in the fantastic intimate atmosphere of an authentic Spanish town. If you don't want to walk then a regular Bus - regular service into centre . Bus stop is less than 1 minute from the apartment,

Child Friendly apartment and community. Local children's play area about 15 minutes walk away and Burriana beach has several children's play areas.

Indoor Pool / Community sports centre - 10 minute walk

Tennis - 5 min walk

About Jill O'Mahony

We have been coming to Nerja after falling in love with Nerja and Andalucia 15 years ago. We visit as often as we can with our three young children who love the place as much as we do.

Great apartment in a very pretty place. Very well equipped with everything you need for a fantastic family holiday. Great terrace with great views. Perfect for breakfast and sunbathing. Two bathrooms a massive plus. Owners really helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend.

Lovely 2 bed roomed apartment with wonderful outside space

We really loved our stay at Casa 32. The apartment was about the right size for a family of four. The facilities were good There was a good range of kitchen equipment, as well a washing machine, which was a real bonus. The outside space was perfect for sunbathing, reading, dining or just relaxing.

I thought the apartment was in a good position, positioned nicely near to the bus stop for easy transport into Nerja. The estate itself was beautifully maintained, having two main pools to choose from. We would happily stay there again.

Not as clean as would've liked

When we arrived at Casa 22 we spent quite a bit of time cleaning - the large rug in the main living room was full of long hairs and the floor did not seem clean hence us having to sweep around - in the end we rolled the rug up as it felt unclean to walk on - also the throw over the sofa had crumbs all over it, the apartment clearly had not been cleaned to the standard it should have been - I also had to wipe out bedroom drawers before placing any clothes in them.

I reported this straight away to Jill who responded saying she will let the property manager know - nobody was sent around to clean at all!

I was staying for 10 days so after a week I enquired that no one had been in to change bed linen/towels? I got a response to say that it wasn't common practice for this to happen and they do not change if you are staying for less than 2 weeks (this has now been changed apparently which is a positive to come out of this). A towel and linen change was done when we had 2 days left which was better than nothing I suppose.

The apartment is in a gorgeous complex surrounded by lovely gardens - parking is not a problem at all, located about 25 minutes walk from the Balcon. I only used the pool once as prefer the beach but it was nice and good temperature. A bus stop was literally across the road which took you into town very cheaply too.

The apartment itself was well equipped, large terrace with table to dine on and 2 sun loungers.

Aircon was great so no problem there.

Such a shame that the overall experience was a bit disappointing regarding the cleanliness as if this didn't happen it would have been given a higher rating.

Jill and her husband were quick to respond to emails/texts so communication was good to try and rectify problems but somehow the cleaners did not arrive to give another clean when this was first mentioned - this sounds like a one off as reading through other reviews it's not happened before.

I was offered a discount as a way of compensation if I wanted to return which was a decent thing to do by the owners.

Nerja is a beautiful place which I've been 3 times before......... it didn't spoil my holiday, and hopefully it was a one off.

Owner's Response: Hi Donna, Thank you for your detailed review. You indicated in our e-mail exchanges that aside from the cleaning issues you felt the property was very good and that you would be more than happy to stay again. As you alluded to in your review we spent a significant amount of time trying to resolve the issues you indicated you had regarding the cleaning of the apartment. This included immediately contacting our property manager (who said he did go around as soon as he was contacted by us but you weren't in) and following up on any complaints that you had. As you said this appears to be a one off as so many of the reviews will support and why we are mystified as to why you experienced this situation. As we always inform guests the first enquiry if there is a problem should ideally go to the property manager as he is best placed to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Similarly because you didn't take any photos etc. it was hard for us or him to fully establish the extent of your problems. However regardless of that we felt that we looked to resolve the issues as expediently as possible. This was obviously a very unfortunate situation and one we took very seriously, including your suggestion about linen changes. However as we indicated that had never been raised as an issue before but now someone has raised this as an issue it is only right we review how and what we do. Finally as we said we have recently achieved a certificate of excellence from Holiday Lettings (the other company we let through) and that is gained through not only consistently good reviews but also the way in which an owner deals with guests concerns ,questions etc. Finally we are sorry you had this experience with the cleaning and we are ensuring that we remain vigilant about these issues and have reiterated to our property manager and guests to immediately contact him and for him to go around as quickly as possible. Fabulous Apartment set in stunning gardens

We had a lovely 10 day stay at Casa 32, has everything you need and more. We had a few small issues on arrival that were dealt with immediately by the Property Manager, Dimitri. The apartment has lovely outside patio, plus an additional small garden area. its situated in a good location to catch the bus into Nerja, or 20 minute walk. You can walk to Burriano Beach in 15 minutes but a bit of an uphill hike back. Would highly recommend this apartment for a lovely relaxing holiday.

Beautiful location

We had a lovely stay in casa 32. The location was great with children, as a beautiful garden is right outside the gate. Lots of playtime out there! We found everything we needed including toys, games and movies. Lovely pool area with a nice lawn. Wonderful to walk to the beach by a small rural path with flowers and lemontrees. We love oasis de capistrano and will be back!
