Idyllic one bedroom family apartment overlooking the pool consisting of a light airy bedroom with two single beds and fitted furniture, an open plan fitted kitchen with breakfast bar through to the lounge which has a double sofa bed, sideboard and coffee table , the patio doors from the lounge open onto the terrace which has patio furniture, the terrace gets great sun and overlooks the pool.

The complex is only 50 metres from the main Playa Fañabe beach,which can be accessed through the complex.

The apartment complex is close to all local amenities, taxi rank, bus stops, restaurants, shops and the shopping centre of plaza del Duque. It is well maintained with a beautiful meandering pools one of which is heated there is free sunbeds throughout, a pool bar is open during the day, and a buffet style restaurant.

There is loads to do in the immediate area, apart from the beach with the usual water sports, there are plenty of tourist and duty free shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, there are also free bus services to Siam park and Parque de la Aquilas (jungle park/zoo)

It is a great place for couples and families.

First impressions were good but sorry to say not as it seemed

The first issue we had was cockroaches. We expected one or two but not the amount we had. There was a vent in the bathroom and one in the kitchen they used as easy access to the apartment. Every day the bath had 3 or 4 huge cockroaches in it and we had 5 or 6 crawling all over the kitchen work surfaces virtually every day. This meant us not using the apartment at all to eat. By day 5 we had had enough and taped over the vents. All it needed was mesh behind the vents. This is an ongoing problem because we could see other people’s tape residue around the vents.

Unfortunately we got locked out once due to the door dead locking every time it shuts, we only stepped out to speak to someone and slam that was it. Ok, our fault as we were told the door shuts on its own but there is a manager there to help if you have any problems isn’t there? We tried to contact the manager but got no answer on the three telephone numbers given to us on nine attempts. Finally after a couple of hours a Spanish woman answered and disappeared for another 10 minutes before finally we got the manager. Oh dear!! All he could say was due to the key being inside the door he could do nothing and we would have to call out a locksmith. I was unsure of this response as we have these locks on our own patio doors and this is not the case with ours. The hotel reception could not help us as it was not a legal let (we had no knowledge of this and they were not happy) so we had to find our own locksmith. When he came he said the managers key would have opened the door no problem and that he was not being truthful with us!!! This really annoyed us as it was the only time we contacted him all week and he couldn’t be bothered to help.

The locksmith then opened the door in about 30 seconds and charged us 90 euros as it was Sunday. I will be requesting this 90 euros back.

If the cockroach issue had been dealt with some time ago, and if the ‘key’ situation had been resolved for us we otherwise would have had a good review to write as it’s a nice complex but these two issues spoiled it really and dominated our minds and conversation for much of the time.

Excellent position .great complex

Everything was very good. Apartment well equipped and clean.The beds were very comfy. Only drawback the bathroom was very tired.

Perfect location, lovely apartment and really lovely week away

We have just had a fabulous week in this apartment; myself, my husband and our two boys, aged 12 and 10. With the beach a 1 minute walk away and a huge amount of lovely restaurants and bars on the doorstep, our holiday really was perfect.

The apartment was very comfortable, with everything that we needed, beautiful views and great facilities within the complex - we will definitely be returning as soon as possible!

Great apartment

Fabulous location in the centre of the pedestrian area, so ideal for getting straight to the beach which is only 30 metres away. Not much room around the pool area but I prefer the beach anyway so not an issue. The flat could be updated but it was very clean and well presented, and I would recommend the flat.
