Welcome to Areiras do Vau, a beautiful decorated, newly renovated, modern apartment on the top floor (elevator & stair access). It is a 5 minute walk away from one of the most gorgeous beaches, Praia do Vau. This beach is very ACCESSIBLE so ideal for families with young children, strollers or those with limited mobility.

This spacious penthouse unit has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, in suite laundry facility, 3 balconies, ocean views, open concept dining, kitchen and living area. Kitchen is fully equipped with an oven and microwave. Bathroom includes a bath/shower (safety bar) and bidet unit. Bed linens, bath and beach towels included.

The very popular Praia da Rocha is about a 10 minute walk. You can walk along the beach from one end of Praia do Vau right through to Praia da Rocha. Absolutely breath taking beach scape! Classic Algarve beaches with massive rocks and caves!!! The city of Portimão is a 5 minute drive, as well as the charming fishing village of Alvor. There is a mini grocery store, cafes, and restaurants all within walking distance of the apartment. However we still recommend a car for see all the amazing beauty in the area.

It's a perfect place to spend your vacation. A private, quiet, comfortable, clean home by the ocean and near amazing sites and amenities.

Free private parking is available on site. Wifi is available. Unit is air conditioned.

My name is Gorete, I was born in Portugal but have lived in Canada since was I a year old. I have a very deep and dear connection with my culture. I have been coming to this part of the Algarve for over 25 years, as a single person and now with my family. We adore it! We hope that you also enjoy it and make special memories as we have.

Why Gorete Almeida chose Portimão

Property is tastefully decorated and newly renovated (Feb 2016). Quiet location with all the creature comforts! My family and I come here every summer. We adore the Algarve beaches and love this area.

Tucked away in a quiet area but so close to everything. Centrally located in the Algarve so no drive is too far. Located on a very accessible beach which is ideal for families with children or those with limited mobility (no stairs to deal with). Classic Algarve beaches with beautiful rocks and caves to explore. You can walk the beach from one end of Praia do Vau all the way to the end of Praia da Rocha (gorgeous, breathtaking 60 minute walk there and back).

We hope you love it as much as we do and create beautiful memories!

Great apartment & amenities in excellent location

Clean bright well equipped apt in excellent location close to lovely beach. Good to have car to access groceries & other beaches nearby and further afield

Welcomed and provided lots so helpful info. Would definately go back. One small critique is wifi; very slow but in skeem of things not a decision breaker for this great place and location

Perfect location !!

This is a great place with the perfect central location to see all areas of Algarve . As long as you are up to driving , you will not find a better location. Fully equipped with anything you could ever need ! The owners are so helpful . There recommendations are amazing ! It would have taken me years of traveling to Algarve to know all the inside secrets they provide ! We would love to go back again next summer !!

Very nice an cozy apartment in beautiful Portimao

The apartment is very nice decorated, with everything that you need while in holiday and in a quite area.

The air conditioning was something good to have seeing the weather in July, also all the beach towels/umbrella available in the apartment .

Gorete was very helpful and shared with us a list of things not to be missed while in Algarve and we 've checked the majority.

I am not giving 5 stars because I was expecting the bench to be at 5 minutes walk , it was actually between 10-15 minutes with our toddler.

Maybe this time can be made by adults without kids.

There was no restaurant in short walking distance, but easy accessible by car in 5 or 10 minutes and almost one hour walk (to go and come back).

Overall we had a wonderful time in this apartment and I would recommend it !

Great apartment, 5 min walk to amazing Vau Beach

Absolute beautiful apartment. Tastefully decorated, quiet, clean and comfortable! A home away from home with everything you need. The nearby Vau beach is stunning and so easy to access with our children. All the necessities are near and everything is a short drive away (e.g. big grocery stores, other spectacular beaches, shopping etc). The owner and property manager were so helpful and responsive. The owner gave us great tips on where to go to take full advantage of our our stay in the Algarve! Local tour guides, with lots of experience. Total bonus!

Thank you so much. Highly recommend and plan to stay here again.

CHANGE OVER DAY
Changeover days are flexible, however, during peak season guests are requested to vacate by 10 am. Check in is 3pm.
There will be someone to meet you on arrival at the property to show you around.
